It's not weird to be a man and like fairytales. When this movie first came out my dad chose to get it to watch with the family. My brother's and I only teased him because we found it ironic that a bald man wanted to watch the movie about the princess with long hair. 😹💛
If you haven't checked out the animated series, yet, you should give it a try. It is actually quite good.
Honestly there aren't words to express how _HAPPY_ this song makes me lmao. So many childhood memories for me and just great enthusiastic, dance energy all around, which is perfectly encapsulated in this cover!! I used to love doing many different genres of dancing, folk dancing to songs of different backgrounds especially, and this cover would be perfect for that! Imagine a live band doing this and people dancing or skating to this in some sort of city/town square (similar to the movie but modern times i guess lol) - it would be so magical!!

Dang, I had forgotten that this was one of my favorite instrumental pieces from a movie. Both this and the How to Train Your Dragon cover have both been the best surprises from your new instrument only music. No moment from Disney, not even The Lion King, has ever captured the sheer EUPHORIA that this scene does for my soul. There is something so joyous, so happy, so celebratory, and so, so beautiful about Rapunzel and Flynn dancing with the kingdom subjects. Without realizing it, Rapunzel is dancing among her people! And it doesn’t even matter that she’s the princess: all she knows is that for once, she’s finally free! ❤️

Goddamn, this takes me back! Throughout middle and high school, I was in my school's orchestra and I played the violin and later the viola, and this song, Kingdom Dance, was the very first song that I played that was an actual recognizable tune that I could play to anyone and they could say "Oh, its that song from Tangled!!!", and music became my passion ever since! I've only ever watched the movie Tangled like twice in my entire lifetime, but I was a really big fan of like old European fantasy and wanted a jumpy motif to play and found the sheet music for it on some random Tumblr page, and I decided to stick with it. I even posted a video of me playing this song here on TH-cam with no background music, just me playing it really badly alone in my room with very bad acoustics that I deleted it like two years later after realizing how bad I used to be 😂
Unfortunately I graduated and with it left the orchestra scene, but videos like these keep my spirits up, and I very much have the desire to go back to it one day!!!

First How To Train Your Dragon(HTTYD) now Tangled! This is absolutely amazing!! Your music never fails to impress and make the day better. If you haven't yet I would recommend checking out Tangled: the series. There are a lot of good songs in there and it's just a great show. Also there are just a ton of awesome HTTYD songs. If I may I would also recommend Treasure Planet. Specifically the song titled 12 years later.
