    The fact that one of the suggestions in this video is to avoid rentals regulated under the RTA is an obvious sign that being a LL in communist Ontario is very very risky. Great business until a dead beat loser tenant stops paying rent.

    LTB doesn't protect small landlords. Whoever doesn't pay rent needs to pay passed due rent plus interest.
    The government wants to increase rental supply then they need to step in to resolve fast and be fair to small landlords. This will encourage people who has extra space to rent out.

      Question about non rent controlled units; I have two homes in the Brant County area, and I bought the places back in 2007. I am wondering if these stay under the ‘rent control’ or not? I am guessing they do as they were occupied before 2018. However, the current tenants occupied these home AFTER 2018… does that count?
