The drive starts at Saku IC, Nagano, goes on a downhill section with many curves and long tunnels on Joshinetsu EXPWY and ends at Yokokawa SA, Gunma after the downhill. This section is in mountains with many pinnacles.
Joshinetsu EXPWY is the main route connecting Tokyo to Nagano.

For me, the shocker is the lack of tolls here. Given how Japan is crazy about having tolls on their expressways!

I have always combined the way to deal with the difference in altitude and the mountain sides of this expressway very similar to the A2 motorway in the Altilia-Rogliano section, in southern Italy. The curves are very similar, the course setup is practically identical, but I think the Japanese version is way more impervious. I have been looking for a long time for a video of this road section, thanks!
