ElSujetoEse That's a massive, salty, M2K fanboy, delusional John. Firstly, comparing M2K's 2013 dominance to Leffen's 2015 dominance is difficult because of the changing meta. Second of all, Leffen has absolutely obliterated M2K in their last few sets, trying to pretend like that doesn't count is indefensible. Practicing, keeping up with meta, and being able to show up to tournaments and execute are all top level skills, and Leffen outclasses M2K in every one of those categories.
ThatDudePraXis m2k was dropping stuff we never saw him miss before. He just looks... rusty. I think M2K can compete in the current meta, but he needs to practice a lot. He's fine with practicing a lot, that's how he got good to begin with, but it won't happen until he figures out how to go to the doctor. If everything goes well with that, we might see a new m2k in 2016, but I don't think he'll dominate Leffen like he used to. Leffen's just a lot better now, and he's practiced hard to get rid of his Marth problems. Maybe m2k should play him with Samus.
BaufenBeast Another thing people don't talk about is the fact that M2K is 26 and Leffen is 19. You may not think that makes a difference, but it absolutely does, a 19 year old is going to have slightly better reflexes and healthier hands. In a game where 1 frame can decide a match, reflexes matter a lot. I know everyone is holding out for an M2K comeback, I want it too, but I think he's just reaching the end of his era.

It's *not* someone who ACTS or puts a façade , but rather IS nice and humble. They are few, but some people ARE better than what you envision them to be. Your prejudice can be amazing... Mew2king at his prime was playing a completely different meta. There is so much difference, especially in the fox meta (thanks armada and Leffen), that it's hard to compare the two
ElSujetoEse That's a massive, salty, M2K fanboy, delusional John. Firstly, comparing M2K's 2013 dominance to Leffen's 2015 dominance is difficult because of the changing meta. Second of all, Leffen has absolutely obliterated M2K in their last few sets, trying to pretend like that doesn't count is indefensible. Practicing, keeping up with meta, and being able to show up to tournaments and execute are all top level skills, and Leffen outclasses M2K in every one of those categories.
ThatDudePraXis m2k was dropping stuff we never saw him miss before. He just looks... rusty. I think M2K can compete in the current meta, but he needs to practice a lot. He's fine with practicing a lot, that's how he got good to begin with, but it won't happen until he figures out how to go to the doctor. If everything goes well with that, we might see a new m2k in 2016, but I don't think he'll dominate Leffen like he used to. Leffen's just a lot better now, and he's practiced hard to get rid of his Marth problems.
Maybe m2k should play him with Samus.
BaufenBeast Another thing people don't talk about is the fact that M2K is 26 and Leffen is 19. You may not think that makes a difference, but it absolutely does, a 19 year old is going to have slightly better reflexes and healthier hands. In a game where 1 frame can decide a match, reflexes matter a lot. I know everyone is holding out for an M2K comeback, I want it too, but I think he's just reaching the end of his era.
