Win is such a blessing. Nam is happy to have her son here. Win learned to swim in the rivers and lakes of Myanmar, he lived inland not anywhere near the sea. His area was poor so he had never seen a pool or swam in one. He and his grandmother had to hide in the jungle at night when their village was raided. He is a sweet and kind addition to our family

Oh my gosh I wanted to cry when I saw the title/thumbnail! Words cannot begin to express how happy I am for Nam and her son. Nam is such a beautiful person, and is more deserving of this than anyone I know. I can’t imagine how hard it has been for her, yet she continuously kept a smile on her beautiful face and found joy. To see her breakdown in tears at the sight of her son showed what was under the smile and brave face she kept for so long, all while hoping and praying for this day to come. I do understand how the boy loves water because I have visited countries in Vietnam and in the Philippines when I witnessed kids playing and jumping into river banks under bridges. They are not afraid of water but surely the big wide sea can be frightening for a first timer. He’s so brave and I hope he settles well into his new extended family and life in Koh Samui. It’s a lovely idyllic island I have been fortunate to visit it twice whilst living in Hong Kong.

I was so shocked seeing Nam's son walk off the boat with Airpods in his ears, a backwards ball cap, looking like a young hip American teenager! I was so not expecting that! Many Buddhist families do not eat beef but prefer pork , chicken or fish. Pizza with cheese wasn’t introduced in Bangkok until the late ‘60’s because milk was not available. The typical USA fast food chains ( McDonald’s, Burger King, KFC…) will offer special food selections ( spicy) to please the SE Asian pallet.

Oh my gosh I wanted to cry when I saw the title/thumbnail! Words cannot begin to express how happy I am for Nam and her son. Nam is such a beautiful person, and is more deserving of this than anyone I know. I can’t imagine how hard it has been for her, yet she continuously kept a smile on her beautiful face and found joy. To see her breakdown in tears at the sight of her son showed what was under the smile and brave face she kept for so long, all while hoping and praying for this day to come. What a blessing from God that her and her son are together again. Prayers for the road ahead, and also continued prayers for the rest of Nam’s family in Myanmar. I do understand how the boy loves water because I have visited countries in Vietnam and in the Philippines when I witnessed kids playing and jumping into river banks under bridges. They are not afraid of water but surely the big wide sea can be frightening for a first timer. He’s so brave and I hope he settles well into his new extended family and life in Koh Samui. It’s a lovely idyllic island I have been fortunate to visit it twice whilst living in Hong Kong.

I was so shocked seeing Nam's son walk off the boat with Airpods in his ears, a backwards ball cap, looking like a young hip American teenager! I was so not expecting that! I'm so happy Nam finally gets to be with him full time. I can't imagine how awful it would be to be away from my kids for years. I hope they can spend some quality time reconnecting. It was a surprise. But he is so sweet. He has never had or even heard of pizza, hamburgers or French fries. Never seen the sea or a swimming pool. He has had a hard life but he is as sweet as can be. We love him already

@@GigiAtGraceAndJoy I live In Thailand ( I am an American) and it would surprise many Americans that many people from rural Thailand, Cambodia, Laos &Myanmar do not like “Western food” but prefer their own regional cuisine- mostly seafood, spicy mango salads and other dishes that we Westerners would not like. Many Buddhist families do not eat beef but prefer pork , chicken or fish. Pizza with cheese wasn’t introduced in Bangkok until the late ‘60’s because milk was not available. The typical USA fast food chains ( McDonald’s, Burger King, KFC…) will offer special food selections ( spicy) to please the SE Asian pallet.
It was Naam's earnings that she sent home, so her son could afford the Airpods and a few nice things. I am so happy for their long overdue reunion. Blessings to Wat & Lilly for their kindness.🙏
