We don’t need thousands of restaurants either. It’s not oversaturated. The podcast space is still growing. They just aren’t in a small enough niche to turn a profit in a shorter time span.

@@Topgamer357Jesus lord restaurants and podcast are two different markets. You can’t be serious comparing apples to oranges. Food you need to eat, podcast you don’t. Overly saturated. If you understand anything about basic business as the market pivots so should your business. Multiple markets and able to generate revenue from various sectors is needed. Learning and understanding the market as it shifts. A simple google search this is what I discovered.
“The podcast market is oversaturated, making it challenging for creators to stand out. Effective promotion strategies, including leveraging social media and collaborating with guests, are essential for success in this crowded space. The podcasting landscape is more crowded than ever.”

What is also happening is that the macroeconomy is hitting advertisers hard in the pocket as well as the consumer. Also all forms of media and content creators are competing for the same attention from consumers of content and media. The catch however is the “Paradox of Choice” There are so many choices to choose from that sometimes consumers choose nothing. We all at one point or another have just sit there and say we are gonna watch such and such movie on a streaming service and most of the time is spent trying to choose one piece of content because there are so many choices. So I think advertisers are picking those ad buys with content creators that the algorithms say will give them a better chance of being seen or heard by consumers whom are laser beamed targeted by those algorithms that can predict wether that consumer of the content is likely or not likely to use the ad buyers goods and services..

$1 Million in supplemental income in 2023 via ads, yo son that's mad big.
I know this brother makes big dollars just from purchasing a 911 & having a S class.....Having cars is one thing, but having multiple luxury cars is very expensive.
I cannot afford a 911 yet and I make over $300k/a year.....Can I buy one, yes, but I cannot afford it so I will not buy one..
That's mad nice, plus he talks about God which I think is more impressive....

Definitely oversaturated with podcasts at this point. People think all they need is a mic and a laptop. They're not focused on the quality of the content or audience they're trying to reach. A lot of times, there isn't much (if anything) that separates one podcast from another.

The celebrities saturated the podcast space, which made quality go down. They have more money, influence, and built up audience already. But as they quickly found out, it takes more than the power of your celebrity. The average person that has no celebrity that had to build their audience organically, talk about topics specific to their niche, engage with people. The herd is thining out because they have no idea how to monetize because they used to people giving them money just because.

The love of my life decided to leave me, I really love her so much I can’t stop thinking about her, I’ve tried my very best to get her back in my life, but to no avail, I’m frustrated, I don’t see my life as anyone else. I’ve done my best to get rid of the thoughts of her, but I can’t, I don’t know why I’m saying this here, I really miss her and just can’t stop thinking about her.

It’s just like you said people ultimately are going to tap into what resonates with them. A lot of times with these algorithms they push the content that is trending but at the same time if you’re speaking to something that resonates with your audience as you stated, they will find you no matter what. The problem is people don’t have the level of consistency to stay dedicated to the process. The problem is people don’t understand systems and that you have to, do the lever moving task.

I think the problem with a lot of podcasts is there are a lot of podcasters who don't have much to say. It's a bad viewer experience because once you have 2 or 3 people talking over the guest and everyone else, it's chaos. Secondly, so many people wanna have their friends as co-hosts, but as soon as that money comes in, sh#t starts getting different. There's falling outs and then people are so messy that they air it out on a podcast. But I think there is money in it but most people fail because they stop doing episodes. If you're bringing value and talking about something you know and love and you commit to it, that's the first step towards being successful with it.

Any business where there is a low barrier of entry will utimately become oversaturated. When a successful businessman looks at a business plan one of the first he wants to know is what is the barrier of entry because even if that business is doing very well, ultimately competition will come in and dilute the market share. You can open a podcast for $500 so of course that will create saturation at some point.

I am new to the whole podcast world. I am a consumer for one that has no interest in starting a podcast show because of all things mentioned in this episode. I take Anton's word for how hard it is to come up with content that matters and keep your followers engaged. Again, I usually do not follow podcasters b/c everyone has one and there is only some much time in a day to listen to them. That said, this is one podcast I have liked and signed up for because it's enlightening and appears to be on the up and up. I do not agree with every position that is presented here but that's ok!!! I am always open to different / opposing views in effort to understand where people are coming from. That said, keep up the great work and diligence in preparing solid content for your subscribers.

This has NOTHING to do with a lack of certain content/ talent since you can find just about everything in existence that gets talked about. Its simply an oversaturation. If you have a job with 1000 workers and at lunchtime 10.000 food trucks pull up. Well, you see how many are not going to be making money. Same with folks only having a certain amount of hours in a day to spare for the Millions of content now available to them.
