    I recently used this on my 2006 honda element and after 204 miles it’s going strong. I’m blown away by this product. If you use this then follow the directions to a tee. I did an oil change right after. I didn’t want to get rid of the car but $2400 for a new head gasket is steep. I was so skeptical for this mechanic in a bottles but it works. Thank you

    Just added this to my 2004 Acura TL. Only loosing coolant over 75-80mph, other than that I don’t. Changed radiator, thermostat & fans. Did a pressure test it held up fine & there’s no leak around the water pump as well. 3 mechanics determined it’s head gasket with a hair line crack & $3k to repair it’s not worth the money, so I’m hoping this works. 🤞🏽 Great video guys 🤟🏼🤞🏽

    So good. Prior to adding this product I could not go down the street without my car overheating. After adding this product I am now idling and this heat is hot as heck! It was not hot before and I could not just sit and let it idle without the thermostat overheating. 16 minutes later I'm sitting in the car roasting but I'm not overheating. I put this in my 2012 Chevy cruse 1.8 2 days ago, Since I just bought the car not knowing this was going to happen, I had Lots of symptoms of a bad head gasket, White puffy smoke after 60miles prh rough idling water and black stuff going out from exhaust tailpipe lots of smoke in between the motor, coolant lose but thankfully no overheating. So the best decision, that I made after watching many reviews and trying to save money while I could, was to try this Bars Leaks 😉. And it’s like magic, after a few more spins on the road and a couple more last big puffs of smoke. It has helped me get threw spending more than what I thought was just going to be a purchase of a good car, that had turned in to a disaster after 1 day of having it. This has helped a major problem.. Thank you. (Now Just wondering, what’s the longest outcome that this product has lasted for the repair on a vehicle?)

      I'm exactly in the same situation! A motherfucker sold me a 2012 1.8 Skoda superb with fresh oils and shit. The car was overheating ever since day one after I brought it, now 150 miles later white smokes began to appear and when I checked the oils, the coolant was completely mixed with it very badly. A fix would actually cost more than the vehicle as per mechanics. I feel like a jackass, the mother fucker I bought the car from seemed to be extremely wealthy and gave the car for a steal price, So lookin at his property and lifestyle I didn't check the car much as he kept saying me that other people are pestering him for this car as the price is very low and he can't waste time dealing with more people as he was a busy man. So I brought it form him. Mother fucker didn't tell me he is selling a car with blown head gasket! He actually sold a blown head car for way more than it's worth. I'm a person under minimum wage in India, I can't handle this car's loss. It's my entire two year salary. Can I go for it? is it holding it well now?

  • @nagrain
    @nagrain 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    I just got this done and the car runs better in my opinion. Will update if things changes but here’s the issue I was facing. I drive a turbo boosted car and under boost the exhaust pressure was escaping into the coolant through the head gasket. How do I know? Because I bought this engine which had a similar problem before except it was off a non turbo car so instead the coolant was escaping into the combustion chamber. Back to my car again, I was losing boost when the engine was warm. I only saw it making full boost on a cooler engine. But today after I had it warmed up I was able to see it still making full boost. Like I said it’s still so early and I will keep you all posted if anything changes. But if this fixes the issue it sure saved me some time, not money since I can do all the repairs myself and have spare parts on standby.

    I put this product in a 2007 Chrysler 300 with a 2.7. I spent quite a bit of time debating whether to try it. My car had an issue in cylinder 4 and replacing the gasket was just not worth the cost. There was not a lot of white smoke nor was there any antifreeze getting in the oil but it would set a misfire code everyday in cylinder 4 so I figured the leak was still small. Seems to be holding up so far. Car has been over 300 miles and does not seem to be using any antifreeze and not giving any codes.Update - August 2019 car still going strong.

    I tried this about two weeks ago on my Chevy. I idled it for 20 minutes and then let it cool and it almost stopped the leak. However, my leak was unusual because it would only leak for about 5 minutes and then it would stop. After I shut the car off it would leak again. A few days later the leak did stop and I haven't had to add coolant since! It did what it said it would do! I didn't even have to drain my antifreeze.

      @BarsleaksUSA  16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yes it is always a good option to check the head bolts and ensure they are tightened to the proper torque spec. Sometime's that doesn't fix the issue and when it doesn't our products have a very high success rate at sealing a head gasket leak!

    I'm thinking of maybe using that stuff. Recently I had found milky watery residue inside the engine case and dipstick. I just recently used motor flush to clean out the engine and changed the oil, so far the oil has remained clean and normal, but the vehicle uses up a lot of coolant, but doesn't overheat or emit any white smoke and drives normal, but it does have oily residue inside the radiator. I'm planning on flushing out the radiator this upcoming weekend.

I followed all the steps on box after initial coolant flush. It got me 50 miles and then overheated. White smoke came back, there was coolant bubbling going on before and after the procedure to be clear. I thought this cured exhaust smoke coming into the coolant tank as well eliminating huge bubbling going on. Will a second time work? Thank you.

      Yes you can try a second dose, we would suggest to give the first dose around 250 miles worth of driving or multiple thermocycles (getting vehicle to normal operating temp and letting cool) before adding the second dose. Also you will want to flush the system with a cooling system flush before adding a second dose.

    • @BarsleaksUSA
      @BarsleaksUSA  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If the oil is contaminated you will want to preform an oil change before install. If contaminated after sealing the leak, yes change the oil again as you do not want to run any oil with a coolant mix in your vehicle this can cause engine damage.

    I just purchase this product. Not sure how to use it. I have overheating issue when I drive my car more than 40-50min. My coolants starts to overflow the reservoir tank and splatter all over my valve cover. Is this possibly a headgasket leak?

    • @BarsleaksUSA

      Yes that can be a head gasket leak, it seems as you may be getting exhaust gasses in your cooling system. Follow instructions on the back of the packaging for dosage and proper installation procedure.

      No it is not necessary, we know the cooling systems in vehicles and understand that our products must pass through the very narrow passages in the radiator and heater cores. If the cooling systems our products are being installed in are clean, the product is installed per the directions and proper dosage, we are very confident the products will be able to safely flow through those tubes without issue.

    I just bought a Mitsubishi mini truck 3 cylinder, and it was starting up easy and running until I noticed the coolant was low, so I added me some coolant and now it won’t start and I have coolant on my spark plugs now. Do you think I can use this product if I maybe drain the fluid back down some enough to start it and let it try run for 20 minutes ? Or do you think I have something else going on? We are sorry to hear of the loss of heat in the vehicle and know it can be frustrating to deal with. If this turns out to be a restricted flow, there are two hoses that go to the heater core, you can remove them and back flush the core. Using a garden hose you can flush both ways. Be sure to have the heater control set to full hot position when doing this. Doing this will remove any of our product. You can also use a T-Flush Kit to flush the system.
      A loss of heat can be caused by several different things, such as low coolant level, trapped air, air bubbles from exhaust gases, restricted flow, T-stat, bad cap, control valve or blend doors not operating. Our cooling system products are manufactured to be able to go through the very narrow (0.030 to O.035 thousands of an inch) radiator and heater core tubes that are in most domestic and foreign vehicles. We test stringently to insure we can flow through clean systems both before and after we bring our products to market. We also include a note on the products stating that cooling systems that are dirty or partially clogged should be flushed before using. The reason is over time scale (minerals), dirt or even rust can develop in them and can start to restrict flow by attaching to the inner walls of the tubes and reducing the flow area. A flush of the cooling system with just water will remove loose sediment, but if the system has scale, dirt or rust it would need to be flushed with a chemical cooling system flush product to remove that. We suggest doing this every four years to keep the system clean.

    My car has 55k miles on it. A block test and a cylinder compression test confirmed it is a head gasket leak because I have a check engine light on. There is no white or black smoke coming out of the tailpipe. I went ahead an applied the entire bottle of Bars Fix with a cool engine and let the engine idle for 20 mins with the heater on and fan set to high. After the car cooled off the next day I applied more coolant. When I drove the car the check engine light remained on but after I took it out a second time the light turned off for two days and back on again. Can I apply another bottle or is there a chance that it is still sealing and the light will eventually stay off?

      We would suggest to give the product around 250 miles worth of driving before ruling out that dose did not work. Also the best way to install the second dose would be to flush the system well with water before applying into fresh 50/50 coolant. Run per instructions on second dose just as stated on the back of the packaging.

      @@BarsleaksUSA So it can take up to 250 miles before we can say it did not work?

    • @BarsleaksUSA
      @BarsleaksUSA  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@arielrodriguez6980 Correct, it can take a bit of time and circulation to fully seal the leak.

    Wait, so if your car can't run for 20 minutes without overheating you can't use this product? Mine has a small leak, the only issue is the combustion gasses cause it to overheat after so many minutes (no problems with oil, no loss of coolan, no, coolant on spark plugs, no smoke in exhaust, etc), this is not uncommon but this is the first I've heard that you need a car to NOT overheat to use a head gasket seal? Isn't that like the first sign most people will see if they have a blown/warped gasket?

    • @BarsleaksUSA
      @BarsleaksUSA  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your question silencesummer. We use the 20 minute timeline to determine how severe the leak is. Most vehicles we deal with are able to make the 20 minutes without overheating. We have a stronger head gasket repair that can be used if your vehicle can idle for 15 minutes without overheating. If a vehicle is overheating in under 15 minutes the leak is too severe to be sealed chemically, and at that time we recommend the hard fix. If you have any other questions please call our tech support team at 800-345-6572 M-F 8am-5pm. We thank you for reaching out.

      That’s why they want you to keep the heat and fan on high. It will draw heat away from your engine to allow the time it needs for this product to work.

      Hi Nique, yes if you used the product with water and you're sure the leak has been sealed you can drain the water and put your coolant back in. If you need any other assistance please call our tech support line at 800-345-6572. Thank you.

    OR ADDING COOLANT? Isn't that why we have to use the product?
    Or are you talking add coolant withing that amount of time. My car has more than that as a problem but, I'd like to not have to tare down to the block again, things some how disappeare and kids that think hiding them is funny.

    I was planning on draining my radiator next week, would you recommend that i put this product in and drive it for a few days prior to draining or would you recommend that i add after with the new fluid.
