    Great video. You can really see the experience with Tomo vs the new young slinger. Not taking anything away from the younger guy, just something for all of us to think about. Tomo solo sounds purposeful. Crafted very well throughout. The other guy sounds like he is just playing whatever he can in that key, with no purpose or flow.
    So I only say that to say... I think it’s something we all could do better.. not just play whatever we can in the key.. but to really think of it as a short story instead.

      Come on... "The other guy sounds like he is just playing whatever he can in that key, with no purpose or flow" is far from true. Apart from fast licks, he got some very nice call & response. I doubt you sir can do any better.

    • @RyanSandersGuitar
      @RyanSandersGuitar 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sirporkrib7643 I didn’t articulate correctly what I was trying to say. The kid plays great. But there is a distinct difference in the way Tomo crafts a solo vs him. That comes with experience and experience is huge is all walks of life. And I said at the end, it is something we can all learn from. I never insinuated that i was better. I’m sure I would not be able to hang longer than 20 seconds. But just an observation and something that myself wants to work on - making a solo sound like a work of art more than a collage. Hope that clears it up. I’m not downing him in any way other than Tomo has experience that shows through in the way he crafts the solo.

    a champ is a champ is a champ- they are all pretty much the same... a 79 champ isn't a good example of the silverface era, a 66 champ isn't a good example of the blackface era and a 58 champ isn't a good example of the tweed era. they are their own thing...a sui generis...a "champ" very thin, very boxy ....very handheld transistor radio (ey) . a dozen or so board component...the bare necessity of getting a sound out of something. They are great little amps..don't get me wrong...and two of them singing together might very well may be the greatest rig -tone never talked about.But tweed amp tone.....idk

    Zack is far far better at rhythm than tomo. Tomo overpowered zacks solo with too much attack. And zach is far more better at overall feel of the groove. Not impressed with tomo at all

      I think they are both great in their own right. Why compare? They are two different players with different styles. I think you both did great and appreciate Tomo sharing so much information with us when he doesn’t have to.
      I’d like to see you post a video of your rhythm guitar. A lot of people give critical but would not put themselves in a position to be critiqued themselves.
      Thanks for your positivity always Tomo!
