I thought this movie was almost perfect. From a technical standpoint, it was absolutely perfect. The sets, the sound, the costume design, all just on point. The performances were also all wonderful, especially Lilly Rose Depp. Incredible performance. The only flaw for me was that the second half wasn’t quite as good as the first, which y’all touched on here. Overall, I loved it and couldn’t recommend it enough. Especially if you can see it on the big screen

The Depp actress was insanely good. Her twitch movements had to have been hard to do but it really looked like something supernatural was inflicting her. Soooo good!!!
So Robert doesn’t miss he’s 4/4 but if I had to rank his work it would be 1. Lighthouse, has the highest peaks most mysterious, underrated background and has the best pace IMO, 2. Northman most difficult to pull off huge risk taking, and most rewatch able of his 4. 3. Id Go Nosferatu, best picture and lighting, most Likely his most refined work but but will see over time and 4. The Witch but you could argue even higher because of the dialogue and Pace of the movie
I loved Voyagers and Wolf, and I have enjoyed Lily-Rose Depp in some Kevin Smith flicks, but I did not know she had this level of performance in her. Nicolas Hoult was really good too, and I am super excited for his take on Lex Luthor (a role for which his Nosferatu costar Bill Skarsgard was also in the running). Unfortunately though, most of the rest of Nosferatu didn't work for me. The romance between Lily-Rose and Nicolas' characters was decent due in part to the strength of their performances, but overall the plot of the film struck me as super dull. I had a lot of difficulty discerning what was a vision and what was actually occuring. Many moments struck me as silly that I don't think were intended that way. I found the sound design obnoxious. Often times people say actors are unrecognizable in a particular role when I don't feel that way (I can very easily recognize Jared Leto in House of Gucci because of the eyes for example), but I will say that had I not known it was Skarsgard in this movie, I don't think I would've been able to recognize him.
One hundred Percent agree with you. He is the most creative original director to come out in the past 15 years. I can’t think of any other young directors that I get as excited about. This man has one hell of a future in front of him.

I feel like most of his films are very Scandinavian, old English based period pieces so there's not too many chances for him to cast a black person since he seems stern on historical accuracy I hope he does a modern day film with some more diverse casting just imagining him directing someone like Jenna Ortega or lupita nyongo would be dope

Decent movie but overhyped. Pretty much flawless from a technical standpoint but it just wasnt all that engaging. The characters werent likable or interesting enough to be emotionally invested in. A lot of style but again kind of hollow at its core. Definitely better than your average movie. But nothing spectacular

Im 100% sure Nosferatu will be my new Sleepy Hollow, which is my No1 favorite atmospheric horror film.
