If Willem Dafoe gets nominated for this, he will join 8 other actors for the record of most Supporting Actor nominations ever (it would be his 4th Supporting nod). He almost pulled off this feat for POOR THINGS, which ironically saw Mark Ruffalo become one of the 8 to achieve this feat instead.
I see it getting best picture, best adapted screenplay, best cinematography, best supporting actor, best sound, best production design , best film editing, best original score , best costume design
Honestly, we'll see. So far from what I've seen from a majority of the articles of predictions I have read, it hasn't been put into the Best Picture category. We'll see how this goes, the film has yet to be released yet. So the popularity may go up.
Got my tickets to see this on Christmas Day! Hoping Babygirl comes to my NH cinema too so I can do the real double feature Jesus would want me to for his birthday.
Bold prediction. I think its getting in. I have no evidence if it will, havent even seen it, but i think this will squeak in, i hope and expect a random best picture nomination out of nowhere.
I never thought I would like it so much and I didn‘t think a performance could blow me away like that so late in the year. The critics circles will nominate the shit out of Lily Rose-Depp for her breathtaking and excellent turn - Oscars won‘t, of course.
Thanks for the review. I loved the Witch and the Lighthouse and was OK with the Northman. I also love a good Nosferatu movie. This is a must see for me. I'll admit I'm a little disappointed it only rated an 8/10 from you guys. Was hoping for a 9 or 10, of course. I wonder if it'll make it to the big screen in my neck of the Alaskan woods. Maybe to our smaller, art house screen.... We'll see.
The remark here that "there's some gnarly stuff here I didn't care for" I find outrageous and ridiculous. It's a HORROR movie, dude, and the classic story it's based on is violent and gnarly. Maybe the bro' would prefer a Disney version of Nosferatu, yuck...
How do you not know the history, Nostferatu/Dracula, the Stoker suing over the rights to use Dracula hence Nosferatu, Orlock? This is not a take on Dracula. I’m dumbfounded someone reviewing this film on a platform doesn’t know the basics.
I feel like most of his films are very Scandinavian, old English based period pieces so there's not too many chances for him to cast a black person since he seems stern on historical accuracy I hope he does a modern day film with some more diverse casting just imagining him directing someone like Jenna Ortega or lupita nyongo would be dope
She auditioned and earned the role. Also bill skarsgard is also a nepo baby, he's literally stellan skarsgard's son. Why don't you complain about him too?
@@DurpyKraken The film itself is not disneyfied. It's an accurate depiction of the broadway show. The only thing that is "disneyfied" is the marketing. But that has nothing to do with the film itself.

Robert Eggers has never been a miss for me,so I'm excited
If the makeup category is the substance, beetlejuice 2, nosferatu, a different man, and dune part 2, that would be the best the category has ever been

You guys rated the lighthouse 8/10, this is going to be the best film of the year
Exactly lol

Time for Willem Dafoe to steamroll his way to the Oscar. Supporting Actor is so open that if he wins the golden globe. The Oscar will be his

The Northman had a way bigger budget, so this is NOT his most expensive film.
Didn’t The Northman have a $90 million budget?
@@steveking9011 Between 70 and 90, Nosferatu is 50, so way less.
Can't wait for this! The next few weeks are going to feel like years lol.

5:23 it does this in the original version
and?
Now I'm even more excited to see this film.
Lily looks very scary. Excited to see her
Nosferatus shadows moving across the city and walls reminds me of the Goosebumps logo doing the same thing.
The original version is a masterpiece. If this version is half as good then I’ll be very happy.
Where is the Maria review ?

7:34 think you need to check your ears man he said he LIKED it!
Eggers is the greatest filmmaker working today. Everything he touches turns into a masterpiece.
Lanthimos says ¨HI¨
No
Great review bro
Im 100% sure Nosferatu will be my new Sleepy Hollow, which is my No1 favorite atmospheric horror film.
Have you seen Bram Stoker's Dracula?
If yes, how would you compare them?
The latter is my favorite "Vampire" movie.
Guys is an adaptation of Dracula BUT he’s not Dracula he’s Nosferatu. Hence the title of the movie
Idk what I’m missing from his movies. They all seem to be more style than substance. I’ll still pay to see this since I love the character Nosferatu.
I Wanted This Film TO WIn Best PIcture...It has been a LOng Time SInce a Horror Film Won a Best Picture.
“Norsforadooo” 😅😅😅
Looks devilish
Nosferatu should be nominated for best picture.
They said "Dracula" a bunch of times... IS THIS A DRACULA STORY?
The 1922 movie was an adaptation of the book.
It was an unauthorized adaptation in 1922 from Bram Stoker's novel.
Remade in 1979.
Bro on right look like guy from tennis movie 😂😂
Justin >> Mike Faist
Nosferatu...cat...
Are you guys lovers or brothers?
how come i haven't seen this film yet
Not out until Christmas Day.

I just looked it up in TMDB and there's a black actor called Paul Maynard who is credited as the Dockhand in the film.

A lot of people in Hollywood, or show biz in general, are related to famous people.
At the end of the day, what matters is the performance.
