43:54 Honestly, I think Ursula is named after Ursa Minor and Beary is representative of Ursa Major. Or it's flipped, because Ursula has the major role in the duo.
I absolutely agree that those 2 constellations have a hand in their design. I've said it before, but let me reiterate my respect for this channel and all that it's accomplished. As a community, It's safe to say we appreciate it.
I also really like how Emile has this balance. He's not stuffy and a hostile prick but he's also not a meme lord or disrespectful towards traditional art.

45:00- I like to imagine after this point with giant shadows under his eyes, Chugga grabs hold of the Napon and is about to snap when Ursula begs Chugga to stop and tells Beary to hold him back.
Oh man, I’ve been waiting for this. So… on my first playthrough, I GOT URSULA AS MY LAST RARE BLADE. Yes, after the infamous Light Ether Cannon. (Karma for getting Zenobia 2nd, I guess) I’d heard horror stories about her quest but I didn’t expect it’d be too bad… Then I started it, was spending forever on merc missions, and looked it up and found out it takes around 16 hours of waiting time at minimum. And that’s with some optimizing. Recent optimizations have cut it down to... 13 hours. Bear in mind (durr hurr) that at this point, I’d done every other quest and beaten every superboss. There was NOTHING left for me to do while these Merc Missions were going. So going for 100% completion would be adding 16 hours of nothing to my playtime, so I noped out of it. And so, to this day, Bearing Her Soul is the only non-DLC quest I haven’t completed. So this’ll be a first for me. What you’re clearly supposed to do is get Ursula early and gradually work on these missions while doing the main story. The problem with that is you won’t get to use her much. The worst part is the pity group that has Ursula is glitched, so she's always a random Blade. Edit: Thank you Chugga for being dedicated enough to do the whole thing in one video, but I'm really worried for your sanity now. And thank you to Adri for giving us lyrics to her singing.
@Rexaura888 While that sounds good, I rarely find myself enjoying NG+ in big RPGs, so I don't know if I'll ever do that. I kind of want to start a new playthrough (on another profile) on Bringer of Chaos. (Unless that difficulty is NG+ exclusive)
@@BigKlingy BoC is available after the King Crustip fight as long as you have the Expansion Pass. It’s not NG+ exclusive. However, there’s 7 NG+ exclusive Blades (as well as the Hidden Affinity Charts. No Blade Quests for said Blades, but they do have H2Hs), so you’d be missing out on them.

Ursula is legitimately my favorite rare blade, she is precious and I love her as design and character. I also played through almost the entire game before finding this quest. I had Ursula since like chapter 4 or 5 and she was one of my first rare blades, guess I just never walked through Torigoth that often. Either way I had her on Rex all the way up to the final boss, and seeing Beary-go-round at the end of level 3 blade combos made it worth the pain of not unlocking her skills till the end game. If I had one complaint about her its that her default weapon design while creative, kinda looks a bit dumb. I think people would like Ursula a lot more if they thought of Ursula the character and Ursula as quest as two separate parts of the game. I makes me a bit sad to see how much some people dislike her just because of the quest that locks away her skills. *W e a r e , U r s u l a ' s n e w g r o o v e ! Adriana’s voice was absolutely arresting! ❤️ It fit so well I was couldn’t work out how Ursula’s song sounded so much more beautiful than it did during my play through.
So a little trivia regarding Ursula is that her character designer is Risa Ebata: Known mostly for her designs for AKB0048 and Macross Frontier, both scifi stories involving idols as main heroines. Not sure how much leverage the designers had in the side plots for their characters, but part of me feels that this is the reason for Ursula's love and talent with music.
An hour and 4 minutes of watching Emile suffer? This, I'm ready for! HAHAHAHAHAHA! Chuggaa said on his Twitter that he recorded 10 hours for just one episode, and it's safe to say that it's this one given the hour long length.
Some comments: Will he ever make story progress and get the final party member? Chugga: Yes but first we have to go through a full months worth of side quests
@@iantaakalla8180 no kidding, especially since all those quests could have helped unlock Pandora's chart. That's why I wait until getting Zeke to do them.
As a musician myself, I resonate with that performance anxiety. It’s never been a huge issue for me personally, but I still feel that drop in the pit of my stomach with a big crowd. Also, her rendition of Where We Used to Be is wonderful. I’m glad I’ve never played the quest still though lol.
I also was a musician and the anxiety to me was never on the stage, it was behind the stage. I have had several instances where I just couldn't get up there and one time one had to quite litteraly push me onto it. Though usually when I was on stage and began the performance. The thing I had been practicing for dozens and hundreds of hours it just happened. It usually also was the best I did ever cause all the people were watching. I had to give it my all so I did. I never choked on stage cause on stage it's easy to know what to do cause you practiced it and you really don't have anywhere to go. It's when you have to go on the stage, when running away is theoratically possible and when you can make up doom scenario's in your mind cause it is still to come.
Fun fact: if Ursula's singing sounded familiar, it should! That's the recurring Elysium leitmotif-it also showed up when we first met Pyra, and in various other cutscenes. The OST songs that have them are Elysium in the Dream and Elysium in the Blue Sky. It's a really lovely tune that we also hear in the main theme in the game-I really recommend giving it a listen!
18:07 Ngl, I've been going into this LP blind, but as the episodes have been going on, I've been putting down ideas for what I would be like if I was a Blade. The Hero's Harp would be one of my favorite pouch items, just because of that possible reference.
I feel bad for Ursula, feels like this was kinda forced on her by the others. I'm glad she's more confident and able to share her music, but it kinda feels like the others pushed her into the deep end too quickly.
Yeah, this occurred to me too. My reading of it is, the party can tell that she’s truly interested and excited about music and performing, but was too shy to inconvenience everyone else by actually working to do it, without a push or three. Otherwise, the party are a buncha jerks.
I've kinda been there, but I did it to myself. If you jump in the deep end, you're gonna sink or swim, and funny enough, most people learn to swim. It's a bit cruel, and a choice you really need to make yourself, but it can allow you to develop in ways that might not be possible otherwise
Usually getting a timid person to do stuff they interested in but too scared to do requires some pushing otherwise you get the types who stay curled in a ball in their rooms never trying anything because people always said they didn't have to
Uhhhh If you’re like me and need to change some of the sound settings for your tv, make sure you turn up your music setting for the cutscenes. If you don’t, it’s possible that you just can’t hear her singing, which was really weird for me.
Well if its the way I go, at least she's honestly one the best Blades design and personality wise. She simple but effective and absolutely precious. Also I just beat this quest myself earlier today so I know what Emile is feeling.
i just realized because i took a brake form chugga for a 10 months and he is now on ep 171 when im watching this it means that i have an even longer marathon then chugga though mine will be much more enjoyable hopefully i ketch up before ep 200
Not me, but then again I did get her in new game plus. At the point where I could even do this side quest I was already doing other blade side quest while having the merc missions run I the background.
Honestly, I would think Wulfric would have a really good deep singing voice, so I mean, it's possible that he could've been pretty helpful in helping Ursula sing.
@@reyntime8735 I was thinking that as well! Just imagine an awesome alien-looking giant like him, getting throat singing lessons by The Hu. would be awesome!
@@phantomstormsilver That'd make me imagine stuff like Wulfric as a member o a quarbershop bartet-- i mean barbershop quartet, or wearing a suit and being a jazz singer. The lyrics Adriana made really encapsulate the background of both main numbered entries to the series, questioning what gods are worth... if they don't do anything for the people of their worlds
Is it just me or does Ursula's singing voice sound a *hell* of a lot like Adriana Figueroa? EDIT: Adriana just confirmed on her Twitter that she DID infact sing as Ursula for this video.

@@GerardMenvussa I agree but emile made it as hard as possible for himself here. If he had waited to unlock indol and prioritized soul instead of looks he'd have cut at least 8 hours off. Honestly, I think Ursula is named after Ursa Minor and Beary is representative of Ursa Major. Or it's flipped, because Ursula has the major role in the duo.
I absolutely agree that those 2 constellations have a hand in their design.
From my knowledge, I believe that your first suggestion is the correct one, as Ursa Major is the Mother Bear Constellation, and Beary seems to always be protecting Ursula, like a Mother protects her cub. I could be absolutely wrong, but I’m pretty confident with my facts.

I've said it before, but let me reiterate my respect for this channel and all that it's accomplished. The amount of time and effort that is put into these videos goes so far beyond the scope of most other youtube channels, much less letsplayers. When a new series is announced, it almost reminds me of the feeling I get from a new Smash announcement. Oh man, I’ve been waiting for this. So… on my first playthrough, I GOT URSULA AS MY LAST RARE BLADE. Yes, after the infamous Light Ether Cannon. (Karma for getting Zenobia 2nd, I guess) I’d heard horror stories about her quest but I didn’t expect it’d be too bad…
Then I started it, was spending forever on merc missions, and looked it up and found out it takes around 16 hours of waiting time at minimum.
If you ever get around to NG+, you can do it as soon as Chapter 4 starts (or rather once the Merc Group’s unlocked), so you’ll have your chance then.
I really hope that if this game gets a port on Nintendo's next console they fix the pity group ( and of course the tutorials )
@@Rexaura888 they'll have to start from the beginning. Those stamps don't carry over
@Rexaura888 While that sounds good, I rarely find myself enjoying NG+ in big RPGs, so I don't know if I'll ever do that.
Was going to say, "Wait, there were lyrics during the song, so how would there not be official ones?" Adriana's singing was that perfect of a fit.

Miror B.: Yeah Baby!

When he said seri stop the music the seri on my iPad said “there’s nothing playing” and I’m officially freaked out lmao.

I feel bad for Ursula, feels like this was kinda forced on her by the others. I'm glad she's more confident and able to share her music, but it kinda feels like the others pushed her into the deep end too quickly.
Yeah. I wouldn't make her feel uncomfortable if she doesn't want to sing and we force her to sing.
Yeah, this occurred to me too. My reading of it is, the party can tell that she’s truly interested and excited about music and performing, but was too shy to inconvenience everyone else by actually working to do it, without a push or three.
