- Thank you guys for telling me to check this out! finally had a chance, there is some killer songs in here but more so is always nice to see a different side to the artists we appreciate! I was pleasantly surprised a few times here.

Yes! Taeyong made all the songs, him as lyricist also composing too. He has his producer friends who always works with him. His two solo album are fully consist of his own songs, variety genres, never boring! Looking forward to his next solo album once he finish enlistment, he has so many unreleased songs. In his solo concert TY TRACK, he performed 23 of them, all songs of his albums, some fron his soundcloud, some from snippets he had shared and some from his performance videos if his youtube channel. So very proud of Taeyong! Thank you for your reaction!
Yes, most of the song on Taeyong’s soundcloud was produced by him and his producer friends. I agree with, Taeyong is full of surprises.

Taeyong such a genius lyricist. He put his genuine emotions in to deep meaningful words. And he has great sense of music. Making nice rhythm & melodies with his producer friends. His SoundCloud songs is like therapy songs for his fans. Even my daughter love it so much & every night she asked me to play Taeyong's SoundCloud songs for her lullaby till today. Taeyong really can create beautiful & emotional songs. Can wait to hear more his songs in the future. He has many unreleased songs in his draft.
Not only self compose songs (co-work with producer friend) Self lyrics all the songs is a gift from Taeyong to all his fans, he’s not keeping his emotion instead he giving himself all and expressing all of it in lyrics be it vibrant or dark, for real being his fan is one of the luckiest he is our muse and our lift artist! Thanks for reacting his soundcloud which usually a platform not largely promoted by anyone
He worked with all of his producer friends like Royal Dive, Zayson, and Squar, the same circle did his 1st and 2nd EPs. You can say they knew what fits Taeyong best as fellow musicians & they helped Taeyong create his own sound, different from his group. Also a fun fact, Taeyong was actually the one who encouraged Seulgi to co- write Rose, which was her first time to do!

@@rokmanreacts That would be nice! Out of all the three, I think Zayson is the most active online as he used to communicate with fans before, perhaps you can start with that info haha but I hope you can have a chance to know them all & share how they worked on artists' music esp. Taeyong's!

Taeyong usually co-songwrites with SQUAR, Zayson and Royal Dive on all his work and I love the work they’ve done together!
no, taeyong writes all his songs himself. squar, zayson, and royal dive produce for him.
taeyong never co-writes. just look at his albums, only his name is under lyrics. he is always the sole lyricist
@@ltybaekI think when they say write they also include composing and not only writing lyrics. So you are right that Taeyong is the only one who comes up with song lyrics but I think Taeyong sometimes works together with squar, zayson and royal dive when coming up with melodies (even though I still think TY comes up with the main melodies)
Taeyong's soundcloud songs are amazing. I can't wait to see them released like GTA2 (Virtual Insanity on Tap album). He has very diverse discography. He's a briiliant songwriter.

Thank you so much for checking out Taeyong's SoundCloud! I see other people commenting about it, but Taeyong did indeed write and compose all of the songs here (except for the cover, of course). I get the feeling that he just goes into a studio and plays around with music with his different producer friends and that's how many of his songs are born. You can tell that Taeyong loves creating music; he is a prolific songwriter with so many unreleased songs. Looks like you figured it out but "GTA 2" was released as "Virtual Insanity" on his Shalala album. I know you watched the highlight medley, but have you heard all of his TAP album? It's incredible. One of the things that really sets Taeyong apart for me is his artistry. You can see the way he is growing as a songwriter, and both lyrically and sonically, there is depth and emotion to all of his music. He makes a lot of unexpected, creative choices and experiments with a variety of genres. I love it so much! It would be awesome if you could work on a song with him someday. Btw, I may be wrong, but I believe that Kun is the only other member of NCT with his own SoundCloud. The others you see are just made by fans. If you haven't heard them, I'll also recommend Taeyong's "Lonely" and "Ghost" performance videos from his TH-cam channel. They are also unreleased but are so good. Thanks!

Dark clouds is like long flight v2, also one of my favorite! Thanks for this! Taeyong wrote all the lyrics and also composing and produce (with his producer friends too). I love monroe too, also rose, fine and blue. Its a crime it wasnt on spotify 😢.

GTA 1 was a longer(?) version of the GTA he performed in the SuperM concerts. GTA 2 was polished to become Virtual Insanity in his debut EP. Monroe, I think had timing issues.. someone correct me if I'm wrong, Baekhyun was enlisted?
Blue... Blue is an absolute favorite of the fandom.
Taeyong’s Soundcloud Era was so much fun, I feel really nostalgic looking back on this now.
Should mention that Seulgi and Taeyong co-wrote Rose together! I’m still hopeful that this one gets released officially, though sad about Monroe.
My TH-cam username is based on the lyrics of Dark Clouds because I love them so much! They are a little bit similar to the lyrics Taeyong wrote for Long Flight - he loves writing about the sky and clouds and about whales.

I’m glad that there’s someone love his soundcloud song as much as i do (i believe a lot of other tyongf does) swimming pool, blue dark cloud etc are the songs that make taeyong taeyong. I really have no words to describe how underrated these songs in the industry, he is special

Thanks for your reaction and i enjoyed this kind of content from producers point of view or people from the industry. Absolutely love Taeyong's soundcloud. I always feel like his music is so rich, the instruments, how they're produced and also the way he tells stories through his songs. I think his lyrics are mindblowing.

what we hope is that the song will be officially released, sound GDA part 2 which he uploaded 3 years ago, this is the music from Taeyong's first solo song Virtual Insanity on the album Shalala 2023
Taeyong said that in February he had recorded 40 songs. Taeyong bought his own recording equipment back in 2017

Oh it's interesting that you pointed out that the different sections could have been divided a bit more clearly for an official release. I actually thought about the same thing when he released these songs on SoundCloud several years ago. I really liked the songs overall and thought they showcased his versatility and potential as a composer. But I also thought "I think the songs could be even further improved if he would sometimes let the instrumentals shine a little rather than feeling like the entire song has to be filled with vocals". But I think this was also something that he actually did to a larger extent for his two albums that he officially released (dividing into sections/ letting the instrumental shine). Either way, I really hope for an official release of rose, blue, dark clouds and fine. And besides these SoundCloud songs he also has lonely and ghost (released as TH-cam dance videos) and multiple songs he performed at concerts (moonlight, concrete and many others) that I'm really hoping will be officially released when he is finished with his compulsory military service.
I mean when it comes to private releases like these songs on his own SoundCloud it's just open creativity and if any one of these songs wanted to be formatted for a more mainstream release it would be a piece of cake because they're already really great but I think in the SoundCloud space weirder is always better haha

Checking out soundcloud? How cool! Lots of kpop artists have their own soundcloud and you can find some real gems. TY has released some of the songs on his own YT channel, Virtual Reality made it on the Shalala album (the one you said it sounded familiar.

I believe taeyong has said once that his sound cloud releases were akin to demos… they are so good and my go to playlist to feel good.. but yes i also think when he releases them officially (hopefully) he’s going to release more polished versions like he did with gta2 and virtual insanity…
But tbh i also really just want blue released no matter what ver even raw… i need it officially released T-T

He doesn’t produce but he composes and writes his songs. He’s very creative.
I love the way Taeyong sections his songs. There are always surprising changeups, the end builds to a climax, and the outros are often unexpected and beautiful. I understand your time crunch and am so grateful that you checked out all the songs, but I feel a little sad that you didn't hear the songs to the end because that's where the best parts often are. I don't mind when there isn't a strong chorus or hook because the music takes you on a journey. His music is more artistic than commercial, and I love that! But I also appreciate your thoughts as a professional. I REALLY wish you could work on a song with him. From what I understand, producers tend to love working with Taeyong and bouncing around ideas, and I think both of you would have a blast!
