    Anthony Green is amazing in every band he's been in. 1st Saosin album, Circa Survive, The Sound of Animals Fighting(amazing) and his solo work. Dude absolutely kills it. Perfect voice.

    Lots of people hate on him live, but I dig it. He's not falling flat he's just using a different way to sing it than the record.

    Anthony green's voice it actually really good, and really fucking strong. Comparing this man to justin bieber is like comparing Gos to his creation. Fuck off with ignorant comments. I perform, and i can say when playing for 30 minutes your voice feels like shit especially him keeping the pitch he sings

      I don't feel as if they have gotten worse. I feel at this point they're just messing around and trying new things to see if they like it. Just like Anthony's solo album "Beautiful Things" He stated that he was just messing around with certain genres to see what he can do. I personally wasn't in loved with the album at first, but once I saw what he was trying to do and got warmed up to it I actually liked it a lot. You can't expect an artist, well a good artist that is, to just stick to one thing and not want to expand or try new things to see if they can do it. They're just striving to do better they're trials and errors along the way, but in the end it's better for their band they'll grow more as a group. I personally love all of their albums. I was a bit uneasy with the Violent Waves, but once again, once I actually sat down and put the thought of "Okay you can't expect them to make everything the same." I enjoyed it. I think these guys are going far in music. They all so much potential.

    • @drv30
      @drv30 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Xavier Serna I really liked their melodic approach to music in their first two albums, the guitars sometimes even felt like they had counterpoint, and the bass lines were very solid. Overall the music felt more authentic, simplistic and natural to me. The third album to me was nothing but an over-the-top, self-indulgent, guitar-riff/solo based music, which felt superfluous and flat. Too much is going on at the same time, very bad dynamic range (loud all the time) and not nearly as progressive as the first two albums. The song-form in the subsequent albums was also dumbed-down heavily. I am not really talking out of my ass or in a purely subjective manner. You can actually listen for these details in the music. Overall, the later music was less complex.
      There is no "right way, or correct way" to make music of course, but this band was just one of those bands I really had faith in (a long time ago of course), and they really let me down with their commercialized albums. I understand though, they have to make a living somehow...

  • @tchykovsky
    @tchykovsky 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    What's funny is I think everybody sounds great except the singer. Why does he sound like a girl and then like a kid, then like a guy? It's like I'm listening to Justin Bieber screaming at times, then it sounds like Justin Bieber plugging his noise screaming, those parts just sound terrible. How about just scream properly and leave the theatrics to the circus, the band deserves a better singer.

    • @steve8910
      @steve8910 10 ปีที่แล้ว +26

      You're literally crazy.

    • @tchykovsky
      @tchykovsky 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Justin M If you couldn't pick up the fact that I don't like Justin Bieber's voice, then I'm sorry, but this sounded THAT bad. It's not good sounding, like if they had a Kurt Cobain or just a less soprano singer then the band would get so much farther. He's only one person, I don't see what's so good about him when the guitar sounds better than his voice at this point. The whole band excluding lead singer sounds good, I just don't like the lead's voice.
      Perhaps his voice cannot hit the low notes? I don't care if he does high notes, but he needs to stop changing the quality all over the place and be consistent. Bump the singers vocals down an octave and then you got a really good song.

    • @gregchipkin
      @gregchipkin 10 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      ***** his vocal track just sounds fairly compressed. bad sound happens. they're still a great band, he's still on pitch, and anthony green always kills it brotha.

    • @tchykovsky
      @tchykovsky 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      I still cannot agree with that, yes he's on pitch, but he's not consistent with his timbre at all. I'll tell you what it sounds like to me in simpler terms, if his voice was compared to a violin, then it's switching from violin to cello to viola all over the place on the same phrase. Like it makes no sense to me, yeah he's hitting the right notes but if you did that with a violin player it'd still sound terrible despite all the pitches being intact. The human voice is just better at disguising this because he's singing words, if he did this vocalise then you'll realize just how terrible it is.
      Frankly, he can sing low, I don't understand why he doesn't.

    • @brandonphrommany3835
      @brandonphrommany3835 10 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      You couldn't be more wrong about the band needing a better singer. You know nothing about circa survive and what's best for them.
