- Sha'Carri Richardson wins Women's 100m final at the US Olympic trials in 10.86, qualifying for 2021 Tokyo Olympic, however, she tested positive for a banned substance, marijuana. She rose to fame in 2019 as a freshman at Louisiana State University, running 10.75 seconds to break the 100 m record at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Championships.

This is the first time I've seen a Sha'Carri video despite hearing a lot about her because of the Olympic ban controversy and the recent race where she came last at the Prefontaine Classic. All I can say is people can talk bad about her all they want but I'm actually amazed at how easily she pulled off a sub 10.70 standing at only 5'1. She absolutely has top tier raw talent. Losing your parents is never easy so I hope she is able to bounce back in the near future.
The comment trolls are ridiculous!! I guess people can't just be a fast & fit runner without doping, cheating the system, or secretly being a different gender. SMH!! Cut it all the way out!! Some are born with speed, and when training & dedication is combined with it...this is the result. Just like some are naturally smart, or artistic, or athletic. If someone ever tried to downplay your accomplishments with accusations of doping or cheating...NVM. It's always the ones with nothing that hate on the ones with something.

ShaCarri is already at a deficit to those 3 because of lack of experience, she needs to improve her start because Shelley gets a bullet start in every global 100m final. Now with Blessing also running 10.63 (windy) the olympic title would be very competitive.
She slowed down after 80 meters and did a 10.65. Pointing at the click. U failed to tell everything.
If you watch Sha'Carri's most recent interview, she clearly is fine with chipping away at her goals. In other words, she doesn't have the expectations of winning gold this season although she is more than capable of doing so. Neither Shelly-Ann, Elaine nor Dina are American. We can acknowledge their talent but we're rooting for Sha'Carri!

@@lo9184 It mattered cause the point was 13.5 meters out. She was running with one arm and also let off the gas. Her 10m split from 90-100m was 1 second, when it's normally .92 seconds. That race would've been .14 faster without the point.
