UPDATE: Ubuntu 24.10 is now out and it is in the same place as 24.04 in the imager tool. Just select the version with 24.10 that you would like to use instead of 24.04. The rest is the same.
If you use Ubuntu Server 24.04 then you should be ok, depending on what you are going to store on it. Ubuntu 24.04 Desktop recommends 25GB minimum so I'd opt for a bigger card. That is the base install though so more storage would be needed for any documents you want to store on the card.
Good morning, sir. Have you tried installing ROS on Ubuntu 24.10? Can my 4 gb Raspberry pi perform well in the Ubuntu 24.10 version or do I need to install the lower version?
Sorry, I haven't used ROS before but the docs do seem to indicate that only LTS builds of Ubuntu are supported so 24.04 for ROS 2 Jazzy. There is a video on TH-cam titled "Install ROS2 Jazzy and Ubuntu Linux on Raspberry Pi + Optimize the Performance -Everything Explained" that goes over it and he used a 4GB Pi 4 with Ubuntu 24.04.

Thanks Neil, perfect 👍 just what I needed
What size Micro SD card do I need? I have a 32GB Micro SD card, can I use it?

@dev-neil-a By the way sir, do you have plans to make video about LIDAR? especially using it for SLAM? or anything related to ROS/ROS2?
