I loved this show when it first appeared -- one of the best not only of comedies but of straight drama. It does not insult the viewer with a laugh track. The lovely and delicate Christmas show always brings tears to my eyes when I recall it. Great acting. I had hoped for years to see it on TH-cam. Thank you for putting it on!😀😀😀😀😀
Mixed emotions going on here. So glad to see the entire first episode again. And then the deep sadness of remembering back when this show was cancelled at least 4 or 5 seasons too early. A cast of incredible characters like Big Arthur, Shorty, Tiger, Miss Marie and all the rest. And any show with a character named Bubba Weisberg has definitely got its hooks in me! Watching this episode again reminded me of just how much it looked and felt like a full-blown theatrical movie. The acting, directing, the sets, the lighting, and good lord, the music! Pure gold. Thanks for sharing the experience again.
Looking back CBS pull the plug out of nowhere, it could eclipsing Cheers, Roseanne, The Cosby Show, Family Ties at the time. It was so well done to make it, to break any barriers of stereotypes.
I was so thrilled to find these episodes on TH-cam! I look for this periodically and couldn't believe there was no way to watch it anywhere. It was such a great show. I still can't believe it was only on one season. Thank you so much to the person who posted these online.
