Thanks for another great demonstration and lesson. You do make everything look so easy, and you do make it easier for those of us out here paying attention. ATB

    Who's Ethel lol!
I once watched Barry Ord Clarke tie this pattern at a FDG meeting. He wafted a lighter flame over the head to finish off. I've tried it out myself, and it makes a tighter, darker head and possibly seals the ends of the hollow dear hair. Don't know if it fishes any better, but I just wanted to share that. As always, many thanks for your superb videos! Amazing to think how many thousand people have benefited from your generous sharing of knowledge.

Hi Davie, quick question, What is the best fly to catch Salmon? I've heard that there is Salmon in the River Clyde and have been told to take a look so a good old tip from you would be amazing!

      Hi Craig,
If I had to pick one fly then it would be the Willie Gunn with a red head it's a simple fly but has caught me and many people I know lots of fish over the years, you can tye it on any hook or tube. I like to have more black hair in the smaller flies and less orange and yellow but on the larger flies less black and more orange and yellow to compensate for the colour, height and temperature of the water, also have some tied with a gold body which helps as well...
      All the very best Davie

Show how fast you knit fly for themselves. Standard rate. Not slowly rasskazov for TH-cam. Want to see how fast you do it without being distracted by the camera. Sorry for the English. I'm from Russia

      Hi SergeyTruhins,
When I film myself tying on youtube I do take much longer as I have to explain what I am doing but when I do tye away from the camera I would say that it only takes half of the time to tye it.
      All the very best Davie
