My late husband and my favorite show. We would wait all week for this show. This was our favorite episode. He's been gone now 10 years next month. Seems like 50 years. And it seems like yesterday. Time stopped, part of me died with him, but I feel him and that part of me when I hear this.
My dad once said this song was for my Mum who died 8 years ago now, and i just keep coming back here every day to think of her. I still tear up every time.
"Where do you think we are?" I've watched the entire series 3 times already in the past 3 years (currently on the 4th cycle). And it's this moment where I knew this show would be in my heart forever. I've cried silently at this scene all 4 times, despite being a "man". Because if the show's taught me anything, it's that there's nothing wrong with opening up and letting your feelings loose. And if anyone says otherwise..well fuck 'em.

Had the pleasure of watching Joshua perform this song live back in April ‘22 in Islington, London. I was mere feet away from him 🥹 I cried the moment he played the first note 😅
Listening to this song for the first time thanks to scrubs and one of the most beautiful emotional scènes i have ever seen in any fictional work, ben funeral. And i cried. At a point where i was low in life, overweight, no work, never a girlfriend, a believe in god but with little faith. Now more than 10 years later, married for 6 years to a woman i never imagined i could ever meet and so Lucky to have. Strong stable job, best shape i have ever been in, with a strong connection to God, with unbreakable faith , I listen to this song now, and i still cry, but for different reasons now, for grattitude, no matter how low you can be in life, it can and will always get better.

"But in the end, the most important thing to accept is that no matter how alone you feel, how painful it may be, with the help of those around you, you'll get through this too." J.D Greatest words of wisdom :)
I've loved this song after Scrubs for over a decade. But now, hearing it less than a month after losing my own best friend to leukemia, it hits harder than ever. Every day, every moment I wanna share with him, it's like it hits me for the first time.
To me, Scrubs was one of the best shows to air of its time. The perfect split between "lolwtf" skits, and the ability to - in the very next scene - hit you so hard with emotion. That's what Scrubs was about.
The moment that really got me was when Dr. Cox turned around and realized that Ben was the patient that died. The look on his face of just sheer anguish and realization that his son was no longer there. Such a powerful scene.
Miss Scrubs so much. What an amazing Episode. This one and the one where Cox lost 3 patients. Unbelievable. They will never be forgotten. Wish it would just come back on!
My Dad has been gone three years now. Mom has had many “where do you think you are” moments since then. I miss this show. Like all things, you never truly appreciate it until it’s gone.
On their podcast, Zach Braff and Donald Faison said this song was written by Josh Radin specifically for the show, and it was the first song he'd ever written.
"We're your camera aren't you gonna take pictures" "Pictures of what" "You know crying babies people my son with cake on his face " "We're do you think we are?"
"i could have lost myself in rough blue waters in your eyes...and i miss you still." Amazing how songs and lyrics fit yourself so fucking well like they are written just for you. Even if you know they are not. The impact this song got on me is incredible and scary at the same time. Fighting depression all my life, reached a point where i locked myself from everyone feeling even more alone while trapped in an endless loop. After years i finally found someone i trusted again, beautiful blue eyes, started loving her and she messed up so badly that i went down the loop right again. My personal neverending winter. Damn Joshua, this line hurts so bad ...
I have been there too, but i can guarantee you that things will get better over time. You are probably at your lowest point in life and cant get over her, but everthing happens for a reason and you are experiencing new things in life that make you fell better and strengthen you as a person. Nothings lasts forever and change is the best part in life, but you have to recognize that you have to be ready for change, otherwise you will repeat the same pattern over and over again... Keep your head up man, we have all been there at some point in our lifes. Best of luck to you.
Beautiful song. "But in the end, the most important thing to accept is that no matter how alone you feel, how painful it may be, with the help of those around you, you'll get through this too." I still miss you mum and always will 💔
I think they go hand in hand. The song is great, Scrubs is great, having music like this over an already touching scene just bundles the whole feel package together nicely.
Just watched this episode when I found out about Sam Lloyd‘s death. What a shame to die at such an age. Thank you for playing the fool for us and for all the priceless laughs you gave us. R.I.P.
it's july 2019, and I can't wait for winter to come, I wanna feel the breeze of the air over my hair, wanna feel a sort of nostalgia invading my mind every day, the endless love for the fog and the wind. Waiting for the bus to come at the bus stop, listening to calm and chilling music, smoking a cigarette, drinking hot tea in the bar once in town. Wanna live in this dream forever.
this song was perfect for that episode of Scrubs. That is one of my favorite episodes from the show and it was so emotionally charged and this song conveys all of that.

Women appreciate that a man can be vulnerable at a time like that. It shows compassion and empathy.
