I honestly feel like Jeremy shoulda been eliminated because he wasn't a team player and wanted to do everything by himself. Sebastian was just a little childish, but I feel like that's easier to correct than Jeremy's arrogance and inability to listen to his teammates, but that might just be me.
@Lili I would have agreed w/you; however, Sebastian stated that basically it's an on-going issue for him. On the other hand, Jeremy took responsibility and stated he wouldn't let himself fail again & indicated that's his consistent trait/character. So, imo, Chef made the correct call if the kitchen is to stay on a professional path vs distraction. I feel bad for Sebastian, but who knows - he may end up w/his own professional kitchen in the future.👍👍💜🙏

Honestly I think that was a mistake, guy just made a joke. Doesn’t define how good of a chef he is. Someone who has trouble working on a team is a bigger concern, even defended it to Chef Ramsay.
I mean Sebastian also sent two messed up risottos and a capalini, and then proceeded to start joking around. I think in that context, Gordon had a right to be pissed off because to him it looked like he wasn't taking it seriously. This is not to mention that Sebastian had a horrible signature dish and was kinda fooling around when he didn't want to appear on the stage. Jeremy isn't any better but I think here the context is important behind the elimination.
Sebastian also was told to leave the kitchen and came back repeatedly, making Gordon look stupid, along with disobeying orders of a head chef....so it’s more than just comments

The thing is Sebastian throughout that service acted like he wasn't taking it seriously.
When he started making the comments it was abundantly clear to the team that they need to get serious and focus since they were having issues getting food out, which of course got him kicked from the kitchen.
And then there was his decision to come back to the kitchen THREE times after he was kicked out, which also left the impression he wasn't taking things seriously if he won't listen to Gordon after he kicked him out. Which is probably what cemented Gordon's decision to eliminate him, since his repeated attempts to come back was enough to say that he's not taking things seriously and won't listen to what he's told to do.

It was a two-part episode. It was the first season that no one was eliminated on the very first episode.
I think from the upload schedule, theyr3 slowly doing bits and bits from each season in a random order of episodes, but definitely in an order of season.
They uploaded the episodes out of order. The short videos are in order from the first service. The longer videos are a random service. This episode was also 2 parts the signature dishes in part 1 and the service in part 2.
At this point, every HK fan would click to watch anything related go Zacky Wacky. Zacky Wacky for life! 😂

Fortunately for Jon, after Season 11, he got to work as a sous chef at Gordon Ramsay Steak under Season 10 winner Christina Wilson. He was clearly the outlier of the whole blue team.
I guess one lesson to take away from this elimination:
It's okay to be "funny" in the confessionals and stuff like that, as long as it's not getting in the way of your performance. If you're just goofing off for the sake of it, it looks like you being there is the real joke at the end of the day. And based on this, Sebastian thought he was being funny and entertaining everyone in a stressful situation. But at this elimination, Ramsay took one look at him and said "Joke's On You".

Not everyone in the kitchen is like this, but I sure as hell am and I have met many cooks that share the same sentiment about this: there is nothing that pisses me off more than a new guy that's goofing off and trying to be funny when myself and the rest of the team are working harder to carry his dead weight through service and teach him. Prove you know what you are doing first, focus on AT LEAST not sucking, and then you can go back to fucking around because at least then when you fuck around I'll know at the end of the day when push comes to shove you are going to be working just as hard and skillfully as the rest of us.

Jeremy 100% should have got kicked out. He was constantly arguing with his team and didn’t work with them whatsoever and didn’t take any constructive criticism. And i don’t understand why Sebastian got kicked off the show for a couple of childish comments. Jeremy brought the whole team down when he started getting angry and defensive. Yes, Sebastian was childish, but he (in my opinion) had a lot more potential as a chef, despite his childishness.
Sebastian was disrespectful to a chef who did nothing wrong, and in fact was the only blue chef in the kitchen to survive not getting tossed...he deserved 100% to get kicked immediately...
Sebastian's behavior could put a dent in Ramsay's good name.
I think he was just staying light hearted in an intense situation, he was still seriously working... even while hollering zacky wacky lol
Even so, his performance wasn't up to par, so his elimination was justified. It wasn't just the jokes that canned him. He did horrible in the signature dish round, he sent out an undercooked risotto and a capellini that was too spicy (I mean, imagine if he was on entrees and sent out raw food constantly. Someone would get sick.), and for every time when he was kicked out, he came back twice begging to get back on his station. After that second time, Gordon threatened to kick him out of the competition immediately. There's nothing wrong with being funny at work as long your primary focus is doing your job, correctly at that. If it stands in the way of you putting out the best food possible, you have no business being on Hell's Kitchen.

Well, it makes sense. A restaurant kitchen is NOT the place to goof off.
He didn't just eliminate him for saying "Zacky wacky" He also eliminated him because that's not how he wants someone to act in one of his kitchens. Also the idiot kept trying to sneak back in like a child. 3 times he had to be told to leave. Because he was trying to be cute.
All in all Sebastian had no professional standards. He doesn't belong in a multi million dollar kitchen for 6 figures and working with Chef Ramsay's reputation. He belongs as a line cook joking with other line cooks.

Seriously! The other day I was on my way to Krispy Kreme to get my free doughnut for being vaccinated when on the way I encountered an acquaintance that I used to talk to when I used library internet. We got to talking and when it was time to depart, he asked me what hand signal I used when I was saying goodbye to someone. I gave him a look and told him that I was thirty-two years old. I've outgrown that childish stuff. Now I shake hands or at the very least I'll give fives or fist bumps. I don't do those routine handshake dances or those hand gestures anymore. He respected that.

When it comes to being a head chef, you have to be serious. Ramsay has a reputation to uphold and behavior like Sebastian's can put a dent in that reputation. Sebastian's elimination was 110% justified.

jeremies attitude was a joke several magnitudes larger. saying "il never fail again" is either super arrogant, ignorant, childish or a straight up lie.
