jeez i could watch it all day what a fine dozer she was the biggest in her day so i belive it had a Cummins in there some where , it has a big blade for sure , thank you for the video , its lovely to watch
Have new steering clutches, transmission, final drive and 2 field service kits with all the bearings for this dozer if you need it,plus many other parts
I swear a pound of steel must being worn away for ever hour of operation.those tracks are dry unsealed track chains and it must steal a lot of power just to overcome all the resistance.
probably!,,but DRY RAILS BUILT EVERY ROAD BEFORE 1978...SO IT WAS GOOD,,ts simply part of mechacial evolution....the HP loss cant be much..maybe 3%,,Overall this monster was expensive to fix...and all thay saved is operator wages..a pair of D7s of its era wouldnt be a bad thing''and so much easier and cheaper to work on...this was a NOVELTY to make ALLIS a big name,,,,,,they already were..but poor in dozers compared to the leader
I hate that damn dry pin rails them things has ruined many operators hearing I bet that would have given anything for a mud hole to run through to quiet them down
When I was a dozer operator in the Army the D7F s I ran had sealed but dry rails, and if the soil was dry the tracks squealed, but if the soil was wet to moist no more squealing.
Thanks for all comments fellas. I’ll be in touch if I need parts. Dozer has a Cummins V-12,twin turbocharged engine. Great old rig!
