Have you ever upgraded from brushed to brushless? I bought part to upgrade differential to metal gears and found that the gears did not synchronize well. I have new esc and 2840 motor on the way.

Hello my friend to install the differential you have to buy the dog bones of metal aswell, hope this helps you, if you have any questio feel free to ask. Thanks for watching

Do you know of a good and fast 6v metal gear servo that would fit this truck?
My replacement ESC’s 6v bec killed the stock servo’s plastic gears.
    Thanks

Hello my friend i only saw the message now, i have one solution and a servo bit first the solution:
You remove the servo feom the car and you open the four screws to open the servo box and carefully you remove amd rotate the servo gear 180 degrees so it contacts with the part thats good cause the servo only uses half of the gear(its allways the first gear you see when you open the servo but check to be sure). Do you understand the process?
Now the servo to fit in that space without modification has to be a mini servo so the best i could find is a metal gear servi with 4kg torque and 0.10 sec at 60 degree, its better then stock for sure:

If you have any doubt feel free to ask, hope o could help you.

I did do the gear rebuild trick, thanks.
The servo you linked seems to have different servo horn teeth amount and size compared to stock.
It seems the stock servo saver won’t fit on it, and I would have to use the included solid servo arm, without the stock servo saver.
Someone else recommended the JX Servo PDI-1181MG. That one seems to have the many smaller teeth, same as the stock plastic servo. I’m not sure how to determine different servo horn dimension specs.
How are servo dimensions classed? Just by G? Like 17G class servos are all the same size?
      Thanks

@@user-oh5in7rv7l i think the servo i shared works, although i never tried it, where did you saw the teeth count difference?
And also the photos comparison tend to lead to optical ilusions because different zooms and photo conditions, etc, so you may think they re bigger but they are the same?
The servo horns i believe only have to be the same teeth count has the servo horn the size of the servo cap is the same but i might be wrong.
The servos specs are basically in torque measured in pound per inch or kilogram for centimeter, different brands tend to put those other 17g and 20g this numbers refer to the weight of the servo.
Other spec you should watch out is the speed from 0 to 60 degress turn, everything near 0.1 sec is very fast.
The jx servo seems very similar to the one i shared, jx servos are a more known brand name but i think they should perform identical.
It is possible to put a bigger servo, i will do that in mine soon, because i ordered a new servo for my laegendary thunder, a JX ecoboost and i will be putting the oem one in the beast if i see its worth the hassle hehe.
Thank you for your comment and for this discussions because these might help other viewers who read these and also it is very insteresting in my point of view, that we share the knowledge with one another, so i want to thank you for that my friend.

Have you tried to use contact cleaner on the ESC? When its on try do mess with the wires to see if it cuts power or something to test if its a bronken wire

Mine did that with a bad ESC. It would do the reboot sound with a fully charged 2s battery.
The ESC 5v servo power BEC circuit would brown-out to 3v and reboot when steering.
Somehow, it would not brown out with a 3s battery.
Before the ESC finally died, it would refuse to turn on, or reboot under high load going from reverse to forward.
I finally replaced the ESC with a Hobbywing 16BL30, but the 6v servo voltage of the new ESC killed the servo gears.
