LFG, glad to hear you are seeing multiple doctors. Getting a second opinion is almost as important as getting the first one. A colleague's husband was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and had a 1% chance to survive three years. As it turned out, it has been two years already and the cancer has been removed and he is expected to survive. An honest miracle, excellent doctors and great support system. It will all work out for you. Good luck!

what were your symptoms? just curious.
nqi87 long story short, I had issues recovering in the gym, had blood work done and it came back off. They followed the blood work and eventually had an MRI.
what issues were you having? fatigue? dizziness? balance? what blood work was off? was it a tumor marker? or was it anemia?
nqi87 fatigue, low t, high prolactin, headaches. I had a tumor called a prolactinoma.

LOL....actually I think Matt and Justin have only met once, through Lunkers, and all three went fishing in a secluded pond for bass. They are both good guys, that's for sure, and why so many of us watch their videos...plus being very entertaining.
Want to share a story with ya. I work with a guy that's son had a brain tumor. It wrapped around his optic nerve. The Dr's told him surgery was the only option. They told him to get everyone he knew to pray for his boy. That's what we did, day and night. His next trip to the Dr they did a scan and the tumor was gone. His case is now in the medical books. Dr's cant explain what happened. The power of prayer is real. God is with you friend. Continued prayers. GOD LOVES!!!

One of my good friends had the exact same tumor as you a few years back. It's always terrifying, but he got surgery; they cut the tumor out, and he's back to rock climbing, fishing, and biking like nothing ever happened. You're a strong guy, so physically I know you'll pull right on through real quick. Just stay strong emotionally, keep up with that LFG positivity that we all know and love. The docs will always warn you about the scary stuff like strokes. It's just the worst case scenario, they have to be up front about that, but all illnesses have risks. Love you man, stay strong!

Hey Justin, watch out for those opioids man. I know you're not the kind of guy to get addicted to drugs but opioids have a way of getting even the most unexprected people. I know from first-hand experience. If you skip a day of taking your medicine a day or two here and there you should be just fine.

drug addiction is not fake, rather almost entirely psychological. most people who take opiates for medicinal purposes do not become addicted unless theyre using them to numb pain that is not physical.

I just lost my mom in December to a LONG battle with brain cancer (that was malignant, and worse than yours) so I know what your family is going through, and it is not easy. I hope that all the further news is positive. You and Jon B are my favorite TH-camrs, and I'd hate to lose you. Best to you and OSG and Winston and Lake Fork Fam.
Praise The Lord!!!! The surgeon will get in there and snip snip and you're back on the lake in a few weeks! 12 years ago my mother blacked out after sneezing. She had migraines for the next few days. We freaked all the way until and thru the surgery. She went thru a 11 1/2hr surgery. Her tumor was around her spinal cord base, and was the size of tangerine. The plan was to remove what they could and use kemo to get the rest. They said it would be a 8hr surgery and the reason it went 11 1/2 was they got it all out. Her head got as big as a watermelon but the swelling went down after a few days and she has no issues to this day. At 67 she is still playing tennis. You can beat this LFG you are a positive thinker just like her. Stay strong my friend.

Hey bro, keep faith. I had a brain tumor when I was 6. It grew from the top of my spine to the right side of my brain. It was the size of a gold ball. It was benign and was taken out at age 6 I'm 32 now and thank god everyday for getting me through that process. Stay strong bro you will get through this. God bless 👏🏼

My step father is going through this same thing... unfortunately he waited way to long. He was actually blacking out while driving then crashing and driving home, and wouldn't remember what happened the next day. He lost his vision for a while and has had a few strokes cause of it. His is cancerous though it's a fight every day. Medical help can only go so far god does the rest.

Coming from someone that struggled with opiate addiction, please be careful. It's incredibly easy to get hooked on that stuff. Addiction affects everyone from every walk of life. Honestly never watched your videos until Matt mentioned you but I've been following everything since. You seem like a great guy. Hopefully everything goes well and you can get that damn thing out of you with no complications!
My cousin had a very similar case...very similar tumour....he went through hell....but he emerged intact....he's a competitive body builder....and he's still doing his thing...he had it removed about 8 years ago....and he's still kickin ass...good luck dude

What about medical marijuana
There is some evidence that shows marijuana reduces brain tumor size. Lake Fork Guy can google, marijuana and brain tumors for more information. But for now there's not enough conclusive research on it to prove it one way or another.

American health sucks.. I can't understand why health care isn't free. Too many people are suffering with the medical issues and with stupid insurance. I'm super glad your so positive !! Doctors are highly paid in the uk, GPs on 150k, that's 6x average earnings roughly... surgeons on about 300 I think... very highly paid.. and engineers and scientists and accountants also go to uni for up to 8 years... I just looked up figures. On a salary of 30 k
6.5 k in tax, 1.2k goes to health, the more you earn the more you pay... but it's still cheaper then private... so in essence everyone opts in to an enforced "free" healthcare system... at least this way there are no scams where your enforced healthcare can't be refused.

Monkey Nut well said man. With all the resources we have it's hard to believe that most of our fellow Americans think that the idea of reasonable affordable health Care is unattainable. They've got it beaten into their heads by billionaire's messengers. It's heart breaking to me.
There's 330million people in this country. There is more people in California alone than the entire population of Canada. There's more people in California, New York, Chicago, and Miami than there is in France. We have about half the population of all of Europe. There's too many people to give Universal Healthcare to everyone. When your balls drop, and you get a job and start paying taxes and see how much they take out of your check NOW, then think about how much they'll take out of your check when tax rates shoot up to pay for this free healthcare. I already pay about 18-20%. I really don't want to pay double that.
America and the profit incentives that lie within it have lead to BY FAR the most innovative healthcare system in the world. That is fact, look up which countries pump out the most medical-focused products and if memory serves me correct America has at least double the 2nd place candidate. So enjoy the free healthcare that uses products with R&D rooting from America and capitalism in general. I understand it's sad that it's so unaffordable for so many, and our insurance system needs to be looked at in how it relates to Healthcare (and many things for that matter), but those profit incentives have lead to so much.

My dad just went through this earlier this year, and I believe it was the same kind of tumor. The surgery went really well and he was almost immediately better. Modern medicine is amazing, but your positivity will also pull you through this.

You'll get through it. I had a macro pitutary adenoma, that was pressing on my optic nerve. Mine had a bleed from the tumor, and these are not malignant either. But they went in removed it and 8 weeks later I was 100 percent, and been 2 years with no regrowth. Best thing you can do is be positive. When in recovery brain precautions do kind of suck but at least you feel well enough to just sit and play video games or watch tv as not much pain occurs after a brain surgery if anything you will feel better having that mass out. They went through my nose, not sure your surgical route, but they do these things all the time.
I had a meningioma removed from my brain 3 years ago. Mine was not causing me pain and was being monitored by my doctor. Eventually it began to grow and had to be removed because it was too close to blood vessels. I only spent two days in the hospital and had no problems. I did have headaches and nauesa for a week or two after surgery but I have had no problems since and it has shown no signs of regrowth. I hope everything goes well with you. FF Ron.
I know its not the same but recovering from Colon Cancer from 2015 , know its not the same , but feeling for you , keep hanging in there . doc. told me that attitude is 80% of getting well . don't let it get you down ., take care Man

Lfg my nephew is going through the same thing. They found a tumor at the base of his brain, it left with out straight on vision in his left eye and no perrifial in his right . he's been fighting this for ten years. He's now 16. They were unable to remove his because of were its at . but he's doing great . hope you'll continue to do the same prayers to you and yours.
