Great Video which shows promise. Was anything done to the trans? I'm looking to do the same with my 370GT ( G37 ) Sedan which has a 7AT Trans, however with a Mid Mount setup. I have ordered a Fast Intentions Flex Plate, to help with this. could you foresee any issue, if my goal is reach 550-600 HP, as long as the torque numbers are low, that should be alright.
nothing was done internally to the transmission as it is a stock VHR manual of which can handle a good amount of power. Your thought process is correct with your build as you have all the necessary items to be able to achieve your horsepower goal.
So can we get a price range on the setup? I just picked up a 2011 g37 and am considering making it a sleeper. Maybe not to the degree shown here, but I am curious what kind of cha-ching$ it's going to take.
Good information on how to get the much horse power but, nothing about how much this will cost. I think everyone would like to know how much it's going to cost for this mods .. I guess they don't want to scare you.

mid mount is arguably the most efficient type of kit with the shortest path from headers to turbo (excluxing twin turbo manifolds), easier installation too by far, no modifying power steering lines n stuff,, the up and downpipes don't have to travel up and down the engine bay, but the scavenge pump for the oil is kinda lame, and location is iffy cause technically you can get colder air, but is more susceptible to puddles and water down there depending on if you run an intake pipe or not, i had a mid mount kit with an intake pipe that gets air up from around the motor mount area, and you also can't show off a mid mount cause as far as anyone knows by looking at your engine bay, you got cold air intakes lol, if i had the money i'd've gone with a top mount, but mid is easy to fab and install and "technically" more efficient but the upper limits of both types of kit well surpass the torque limitations of stock vq engines anyway.
@2seep true, Vr30 will make more when is Vr vs VHR tranny. But the 6 speed 370 and G's are starting to get to the 800whp with just an upgraded clutch and it's cheaper than having to build the tranny on the Q50/Q60's. I like both platform, but the 3.7 manuals seem to be a great turbo route.

@SOHOMotorsports with the 2014+ vhr engine would you still recommend replacing the gallery gasket before going boost?
@v36vhr it is not going to hurt as we have seen some 14 plus motors have the issue where the gaskets are ok, but the hardware starts to back out.

Sounds like the perfect time to put a turbo or supercharger kit in queue so you can bee boosting when the snow thaws 🫡

I wonder why everyone uses big single turbos. Its a V engine wouldn’t it also make sense to do twin turbos?
Can a stock VQ37 (2015 model) handle 700whp or is this a unique situation?
If the torque is kept low, it can handle it 🫡

I wonder if it’ll be the same with an Automatic transmission, obviously with the transmission being upgraded to a Q50/Q60 Transmission.
power will be similar however lower due to drivetrain loses

Look at Z1 supercharger bolt on and go with the smallest pully and you get close for $8000
