I’m a PROUD graduate of Beecher High School and former student athlete now living in Dallas. This story made me cry. Mr. Rizik’s commitment and dedication to our community can’t be measured in words. The lessons we learned at Beecher are ones we all carry with us regardless of where we live now. We plant seeds of community wherever we find ourselves and the world benefit from it. This 1977 Beecher grad says, THANK YOU, Mr Rizik!!! I have so many good memories from my BHS years. We went to all those basketball games...what a great time we had! Hate to see the HS complex just die.... I remember one nail biter at Powers (1976, I think).
The legacy of any place is never in the buildings. It's in the blood. Our bloodline being from BEECHER attracts the entire world. That is what this blessing that Mr. Riznik and the Rocket Mortgage team represents. This is reciprocity personified.
