  • Volvo is doing the most Volvo thing Volvo can do: adding even more features to its upcoming vehicles in the name of safety. The automaker gave us an opportunity to check out its upcoming EX90 electric SUV and while we were unable to take it for a spin, we did get the lowdown on what to expect from the seven-seater when it hits the road in early 2024.

    Considering switching from Model X to this. My use case: towing a caravan. Hope for Volvo to be even more efficient!

      2 cameras and 7 radar sensors alone would be an absolute blocker from purchasing the car.
      The fact that all the data might end up with a Chinese company does not make it better, but hey if this doesn’t bother you, I hope this car fits your needs

      We were advised to not charge cars during 3 hours of the day at maximum speed. That is really not that same.
      Also if you are a EV owner you would really know not to charge during peak hours anyways. Most people charge at night as energy costs are lowest then. (And you are actually home)

    • @benjaminsmith2287

      Polestar is a sports brand. They've been Volvo's sports skunk works since the 1990s but now are their own brand. Volvo is a more comfort oriented car. The Polestar 3 is the counterpart to this car and it only comes in a 5 seater, has a much lower roofline and different styled exterior. It also will have a much sportier drive than the EX90.

    • @benjaminsmith2287
      @benjaminsmith2287 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@equieh It's a spinoff of Volvo and Volvo practically makes Polestar's cars. These two companies are integrated although Polestar is looking for more distinction and distance from Volvo in the future. For now, they're very integrated.

    • @benjaminsmith2287
      @benjaminsmith2287 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@chonghongyi5935 It's more like Audi and Porsche. They have similar prices unlike Toyota and Lexus where Lexus is more expensive and more luxurious than Toyota. Neither Volvo or Polestar are more expensive or luxurious than each other though Polestar will have models that are priced higher than any Volvo.
