Absolutely killer video. Thank you so much for taking the time. I work in Castle tech support and have been getting more calls about this chassis. This answered a LOT of questions that had yet to be answered. Really good to know the max spool is 48 teeth. Also a brilliantly designed chassis by Hobao with the 4 motor mounting positions. This chassis is going to be a game changer!
Hobao is my top favourite, because always looking good quality, and well engineered. The hardest thing in engineering is to simplify the parts without compromising the strength.
Hey There Liberty, thanks for this. I need to know more about this car, seems I'm only into ARRMA but this seems like a quality platform. Coincidence I end up finding your videos on it. Great job as always.
Cool. I was looking for a 1/7 scale body shell but it's very difficult to find. I ll check delta and it would be nice if you post a couple of other options
great video !!! are those tyres belted ? are they rated for speed runs at 150 mph like the GRPS ? Is the distance between the tyres the same as the limitless or is it wider ? thanks .
dude. we have the exact same taste brother. Not only did I get the same car / have two CF VTEs to drag - I got the same F50 body and did it up with Fire Red spazzstik & mirror chrome on the windows XLX2 / TP 2400cm. I plan on getting the 1/5 mount for Castle 1100kv motor for next season..... The PH wheels look fantastic!!!!
It honestly does not matter. If when you try it out the motor is going the wrong way... just swap 2 of the wires and that will change the direction of rotation.

If you can’t break a screw loose that doesn’t have any thread lock on it out the MIP screw-driver style hex drivers down and grab an L-shaped Allen Key. I started doing that when I was worried about rounding the hex and so far I had 100% positive results. Those Allen keys are cheap and definitely look it as well but man once you use one in a situation where you’d normally be bearing down on a Hex Driver you’ll never look at those puny Allen keys the same way again….
I just have a feel for how hard I can turn it before the screw strips. These Hobao cars seem to have this issue. A friend stripped 4+ screws on his. The L shape hex tools are generally cheap metal and more likely to strip the screw.
@@Liberty.Francis that reciver box is an issue with a bigger spur, and the motor mount in its stock position. the stock spur will give you 3mm clearance from the RX box. so with a bigger spur you got to find a diffrent way to mount the motor.

By chance do you know if the Arrma center spool assembly (Limitless/Typhon 6) will fit into Hobao's VTE?
No there have a different spacing... I checked because I wanted to swap in Arrma pps mounts but they don't fit

They are belted but I don't know that they are safe enough to use at speeds above 90mph. I have not seen anyone go fast with them.

hi
thnaks for the videos your putting out.
For a 1/5th motor, you need the other optional motor mount, and move the mount position?
