Ukrainians have been pushing the Russians back recently. Mostly in the east of the country near Donbas, under a town called Bakhmut. (They took back Klishchiivka and one other settlement, cant remember the name right now, my bad) And some progress is also visible in the south of the country, near Tokmak, which is also Ukraine's goal as of this moment if I'm not wrong. In that area they took back Robotyne and are headed more south, + there are attempts to get into Verbove. A town more east from the current front lines. There's currently the 82nd Brigade of the UA forces being deployed, and those guys have all the cool western stuff like the Leopards, Strykers, Bradleys and soon probably the M1 Abrams too. Correct at this present time, but of the 31 member nations only 11 hit the target goal amount in 2023. But the NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg intends to make NATO's current military spending target of 2% of national GDP a minimum requirement rather than a goal to aim for. It's going to suck when those 20 nations have to pay their part

They agreed to carve up Poland together. The start of the conflict they were on the same side. The only reason the west didn't go to war with the Soviets was because the treaty the UK and France had with Poland was specifically to defend them from the Germans and by the time the US entered the war Germany had already betrayed Russia.
