In the US, the Muslim population is too small overall. They're about 1% of the population. There are concentration such as Dearborn, MI where about 50% are Muslim and certainly can be a wedge issue. I should point out that many Muslims in the US are not Arab Muslim, which is an important distinction. The Palestinian issue is presented as both a religious AND nationalist (the Arab nation) issue. So non-Arab Muslims aren't quite as taken with that argument- though more likely to support Palestine than average. Still, there are some Muslim Americans who are not necessarily pro-Hamas or pro-Palestinian (which doesn't equate to being pro-Israeli). The angles that have gotten the most traction going against official US policy at the national level is presenting it as an oppressor/oppressed issue which generally attracts liberal/progressive minded people to the Palestinian side or to present it as a foreign entanglement which attracts the populist/isolationist crowd who want to disengage from the region altogether. Arab Muslims aren't high turnout voters, but when they do turn up, they are very heavily in favor of Democrats. So Republicans won't even make an attempt to garner support. It's more on the Democrats to pay enough lip service to convince them to come out to vote. So, despite the small population, its an easy voting bloc for Democrats. They just have to get them motivated enough to come out.
It’s the Marine Hymn. And it’s true we like to celebrate our birthday. A Marine Corps Birthday Ball is quite a party. You have Marines in their dress uniforms dates in gowns or suites. Good food, dancing and drinking. A LOT OF DRINKING!
To answer your question about Gaza, someone from Gaza is a Gazan, and multiple people is Gazans. Though I think most modern Gazans refer to themselves as Gazan Palestinian and are Arab. Most likely to differentiate between them and previous residents like the Philistines and Canaanites.
Yeah, Gaza is OLD and has a bad history with pretty much everybody, stemming from the Philistines being raiders (pretty much Aegean Vikings). The Philistines in Gaza actually got sacked by the Israelites for pretty much the same thing that the Arab Gazans did on 10/7. Tell me if this quote from the Book of Amos sounds familiar: "This is what the LORD says: “For three sins of Gaza, even for four, I will not relent. Because she took captive whole communities and sold them to Edom, I will send fire on the walls of Gaza that will consume her fortresses. I will destroy the king of Ashdod and the one who holds the scepter in Ashkelon. I will turn my hand against Ekron, till the last of the Philistines are dead,” says the Sovereign LORD. This is what the LORD says: “For three sins of Tyre, even for four, I will not relent. Because she sold whole communities of captives to Edom, disregarding a treaty of brotherhood," History rhymes in some really strange ways sometimes.
Ok this is horrible. A: i am annoying. B: just watched an ad where and adult and baby gorilla walking down the beach. Young gorilla eats his elder and attack on titan morphs to a higer lvl that the sea monster and eats him……. Damn lol
Will Iran be able to turn this into a wedge issue in the US? Or is the Muslims/Youth vote to small for either side to care?

Here is the thing you need to realize. The marines don’t cancel their birthday ball unless they are being deployed to war.
