- Creating 5 shabby chic/cottagecore decor DIY's for the home in collaboration with Teresa of Our Greene Acres. I had fun finding items in the thrift store and the side of the road to recreate and give a shabby chic touch! From an oversized wall clock, to a wine container, an old fashioned shelf, a spool shabby tassel and lastly a beautiful carousel horse!

I love Teresa too! I saw her rocking horse horse a while back, and made one from the one my children played on years ago My oldest just turned 40. All my grandchildren used it too. I wish i could send you the picture of mine.

Love, love everything that you made! The horse was quite a magical show piece! I remember years ago I made my own gesso with an easy recipe. Anyhow, I had mixed up a batch in a plastic container, then on a whim I grabbed some old silk roses that happened to be sitting on my desk and dipped them into my diy gesso (white acrylic paint, school glue & baby powder/talc). To my surprise, once dry they looked amazing like something from the 1900's. They could have been painted, but I left them white for that old world plaster look. Please, please keep on doing what you do b/c you're always an inspiration! After watching your vids I always come away having learned something new, so I thank you!

It was country, and then there was primitive country, which I think morphed into rustic country, and then farmhouse. I still have a few years of Country Marketplace magazine, and go through them sometimes. All the hearts, geese and ducks... :D

Oh my gosh!! That horse was Magnificent. The trim you chose for the mane and tail even though a little pricey, I think it was well worth it. All of your work is so beautiful, if I had to pick favorite in this video the horse would come in first and the clock with a close 2nd. I so can't wait til my DT gets those wall decals. I've been hard on the search for them for weeks now.
