  • I started this glow up challenge on first of August 2023. From the very beginning I knew it's not going to be perfect , there were so many obstacles like Edinburgh Fringe Festival and he holidays in Poland but like I say it's better done than perfect.
Watch this video to find out how my first month went and let me know how are you getting on!
As a reminder my glow up rules are
    1. Gym 3-4 times a week - habit stacking, watching Netflix on incline walk, listening to podcast while lifting
    2. At least 6k steps a day
    3. Drink 2 l of water
    4. Eat healthy 80:20
    5. Skincare & Haircare
    6. Post on social media at least once a day - bonus points for more
    7. Daily meditation
    8. Law of assumption
    9. Reading non fiction
    10. Look good to feel good
    Our Facebook group- / 177813781861924

You're so nice as you are you needn't change everything! Improve the way you eat, healthier, yes and walk consistently, I think it's enough, cause you're a nice blond girl, very young looking, dynamic and clever, courageous, self sufficient, I think you could be proud of yourself as you are! I like your videos on TH-cam and I think women needn't to be perfect to feel good, we're nice as we are! Greetings from France!

I loved the update! Congrats on all the progress. You're right, a year is the best time frame for a sustainable glow up to the point your old life becomes almost foreign\unrecognizable :)

    1. Absolutely love the hair!!!
    2. For me it is the "Złota Kolekcja Bajek" in the background XD
    3. Thanks for inspiration "Don't wait, just do it now!" :D For at least 3 years I had a little dream to go to SPA and I've been postponing this for ever. This month I said enough is enough and actually I went ahead, enjoyed my time in SPA with my friend and this week I am going FOR THE SECOND TIME XD
Keep up trusting yourself, you're doing a great job here!

Hi hope you find that water bottle or something similar 😉 Holiday and being home is a time to relax and not worry ..too much about over indulging. I usually go for walks to compensate no use of a gym in the rain too 😁. I was one of those new followers on IG! A year is a great time span for this challenge. It took me about 7 months to finally lose about 22lbs and stay consistent after those months. I lost mostly inches first...alot.. which is a GOOD thing. It seems like my body had to get accustomed to my new routine the food changes, water intake increases ,and consistent gym and workouts/walks etc. Just stay focus and consistent is the key. We are doing this for our health and feeling good about ourselves! ❤

@@DariaKropop don't be scared! when you get back home and you see the new number lol it will push you forward cause you know you ae on this journey you've planned to become a better you in a whole. the main thing here is to stick to what you planned to do for this challenge and just keep a check box list of, 1 or to how many goals you will like to see during it maintaining it and finally at the end of it. Tks on the weight loss 🙂seeing result is what keeps me motivated mostly and going! I do not want to go back to where I was 7/8 months ago. uh uh non no.. I am loving this feeling and my somewhat new body lol or what I remembered it to be before I gained 40lbs. not being hard on myself but I know I am MUCH healthier and even happier (yes for me even happier but it doesn't make me feel ashamed or not proud if I don't lose any) I want to remember each moment of this journey good and bad! But it doesn't define who "I AM" so from that mindset everything will fall into place and I will keep pushing forward!! Suggestion- if you cant find a bottle like mines maybe get the size you need and put sticker marker or permanent marker tabs on it with your own inspirational words! Best wishes Daria!

17,000 steps a day is about where the health benefits max out. Step goals should be increased weekly till you get to at least 17,000. If you are losing weight, you will find you plateau if you do not progress steps, intensity of gymn sessions, and adjust diet. That said, you can totally not lose weight, eat more, and still lose fat if you get that protein and work on getting stronger lifting. Yep, I eat a box of donuts a day to keep my weight stable and I've gotten down to about 14% bodyfat. Weight loss shouldn't be everyone's goal when muscle gain and fat loss are the things that actually make you healthier.

Can you send me the data that proves it please ? I have read multiple articles that say at around 8k steps the health benefits plateau.
I would never be able to do 17k a day , simply don’t have time for that with work , TH-cam and going to the gym. I think what I do now works best :)

@DariaKropop There was a 2022 meta-analysis, so just published. All cause mortality goes down a lot just adding another 1,000 steps etc. For the overachiever, no point in going past 17,000 for a healtheir heart or anything. After 17,000 the only thing you are doing is burning more calories but no extra health perks anymore. Out of the hospital I could only do 100 steps. Months later I hit 30,000 steps most days. I'm doing that to save my legs from a condition though. 6,000 a day is about the baseline for a sedentary American office worker. 10k is a great goal but if you can work up to more there are more benefits like: reduced cancer risk, metabolic disease, cardiac disease, better fat burning mitochondria and more. "there was a strong inverse association between step count per day and all-cause mortality risk, which continued up to 17,000 steps per day."
