#1 rule of watching comedy: it’s not about whether you agree or disagree with what’s being said. Comedy is about saying clever things that surprise you and make you laugh, especially about things that you might otherwise find to be serious or difficult. It’s about ideas and wordplay and writing and acting. If you’re agreeing or disagreeing with the act, you’re getting wrongly political about something that has the intent to make you laugh and entertain a different point of view. It’s an art form, not a TED talk 👍🏻
I think the problem is you're afraid of your audience's reaction. You neither laugh nor condemn. Honest reactions is what people love. If you find yourself faking a reaction because you're afraid of your audience, I wouldn't post it all.
At the beginning I thought she said she liked brutal comedy = but no examples. Not seeing C.K. tells me that she may have not seen that many comics. The amusement is watching her squirm trying to figure out what is going on with all these dark topics. C.K. is hilarious.
You mean the concept of comedy will dawn on her? I was gonna not be mean about it, but then she just said "next time I'll watch something better"... Bitch... Louis CK is 100% Mt Rushmore of comedy, all time. Find something other than comedy to react to, It's not for you. I suggest a ted talk that you already agree with everything said in... before you even get there.
You can’t listen to Louis and take it too seriously as if everything he says is his own opinion. He’s a master at creating bits and this is actually a good example of conveying both sides of an arguments while being truthful, when it comes to abortions. There are layers to many of his bits and then some are just silly and meant to make you feel a way that you don’t want to, and in that sense, he pretty much always delivers 😂
Louis' style of comedy is basically acknowledging the intrusive thoughts and saying them out loud which is perfectly summed up by his bit, "Of course..... But maybe...."
Can people just laugh anymore instead of worrying about what other people’s feelings and what they think? It’s comedy, it’s suppose to make you laugh. If you want to laugh, by all means, laugh.
I think what makes this funny to me is we all feel these things, even if we filter these feelings out. Joking and making light of it doesnt demean individuals and their stories. I think finding humor in the darkest corners of reality is important. I laugh about the concept of suicide when in the form of a joke, but if someone was considering it, i wouldnt laugh at them, I'd help. Thats the important part
It's not a bad skit, I found it hilarious and uncomfortable 😅 but I had already watched his earlier stuff for years, and there's an evolution of his bits that kinda accustoms you to his humour 😊
The opening!! I have to start with the three stooges drink sound lol I am sooo elated to that you used that lol. I can totally see in the future you using more three stooges sound effects for videos lol You did a phenomenal job as always dear sister!! A big part of comedy reaction videos is being honest and you’re always the best at being honest!! I always appreciate seeing you standing up for what you believe in, sooo proud of you!! I agree all the way there were some funny parts in this video. I’m sure there are other good Louis C.K material out there that if you want can def have reaction videos to in the future. Either way you’re doing amazing on the road to 10K subs!!! Proudest brother ever
I actually like certain tan colored vehicles. Early 2000's Honda CRV had a tan colored model, and I really liked the way it looked. Even older vehicles from the mid 90's had really nice looking tan vehicles. 1995 Honda civic in rosewood brown, pretty nice looking sedan. My first car was a 1995 Honda civic, but it's color was dark green pearl metallic.
When I heard he got in trouble a while back, I knew I did not like him. Then I listened to him and I knew I did like him and still listen to him today. This one is kind of tough and blunt but give him a second chance like I did.
Don’t give up on Louis😁. He’s occasionally controversial but always honest and provocative. There’s an underlying intelligence to his humour that’s carefully countered with humour 😁
Louis CK has a particularly dark sense of humor that can make people feel uncomfortable. I love his style though, it's very out-of-nowhere and with absolutely no limits. And he's not afraid to tell his jokes and is an absolute goofball. If you take his jokes too seriously though, it's hard to find them funny. As for me, I find him extremely hilarious 😂 His earlier bits I think you would like alot better though, like the Deer bit
If I remember correctly, this is Louis CK's first show after a long hiatus due to being canceled, so right at the beginning of the show he intentionally jumped right into some of the most uncomfortable topics, probably as a way to give the audience what they've been waiting for. So yeah, this video was not a good way to introduce yourself to Louis CK, there are more beginner friendly videos on youtube, like "Of course but maybe", "Being broken", "Fa**ot, Ni**er, C*nt", and "Why kids are stupid".
Louis is a the best ever at making people uncomfortable, and with age in his later stand ups, the way he controls his face expressions, etc. he makes it seem like he's talking seriously. It's called comedy, and no matter how delicate a topic is, you can't take yourself to seriously and laugh at it. They tried to cancel him and he came back stronger and better than ever, even winning an Emmy which destroyed all his haters. What I love about him is that in this stupid world of woke and cancel culture, he is pretty much the only one that's not afraid to talk about delicate subjects and is hilarious in doing so. You must react to his bit Magic Mike, or Sincerely. If you want another contreversial comedian try the Australian, Jim Jefferies, specialist in roasting american culture in there faces, specially politically. You could try his skits on Donald Trump, FreeDumb or Bill Cosby.
Wording is important; abortions are always necessary. People don't get them because they want to. I know it's pedantic but we need to combat this notion that people get abortions for fun. Nowhere in the US can you get an abortion that isn't necessary. The reasons for why it's necessary can be medical, financial, or situational but that is a whole different complex discussion and is ultimately up to the individual (and their medical professional ) as it is their body, life, and money. I'm not try to chastise or admonish just sharing info ♥
I'm a CK fan and I think this bit is just a little less funny than a squirrel being run over with a car. He is actually funny I hope you'll give him another chance
Some people have been indoctrinated to vilify talking points that are based in truth. You cant make light of "self deletion" so they say right?.. I personally don't want people to "delete" themselves, but that joke is funny because Louis Ck found and highlighted the absurdity of our reality, and absurdity for some reason makes us laugh.
Some comedy is meant to reflect reality.. others are meant to be taken in the hypothetical. Something can be funny in the hypothetical but when applied to real life.. not so funny. Be comfortable with the hypothetical and you'll be golden for all comedy.
Louis C.K. is one of the funniest men to ever live. Unfortunately, this clip is a hot cup of fart! Please check out some of his older stuff. You won't be disappointed.

I think your ideology made you forget you were watching a stand up bit and think you were watching a Ted talk. The fact that he makes like three 180s in the first minute is a clear way for him to say you shouldn’t take any of this seriously.
Analyzing a joke is destroying the joke. It's a joke, not the personal opinion of the comedian. Like someone else said in the comments, it's a comedy show, not a TED talk.
A lot of reactors make the mistake of thinking that a comedian’s jokes are what they believe about various subjects. That may be true of some jokes. The thing that applies to every joke every comedian has ever told since the beginning of time is “Are they funny?”. So I don’t think reactors should watch clips with the idea of “Let’s see what they have to say and whether or not we agree with it”. A better approach is “Let’s see if they are funny or not.” Some of my favorite jokes go 100% against things that I believe but that doesn’t mean they aren’t funny. On the flip side, if a joke completely fits with my moral and ethical standards doesn’t automatically make it funny. Watching comedy clips should be approached with a “Let’s get ready to laugh” attitude. Also, this isn’t meant to imply you did a bad reacting job, it’s more of a suggestion to possibly make a comedian with “questionable” jokes more fun to watch.
Louie is my favorite comic, but this isn’t a good first bit 😂 I’m so sorry for you. “Of course but maybe” “Jizanthapus” “Offensive words” “Tom Sawyer” or “The Way We Talk” are much better
