I really think this abyss was the hardest abyss ever imo. That snake is one of the most annoying enemy they added to abyss. And has like 2 mil hp
I both agree and disagree. The snake is quite hard, but the first 2 floors are pretty easy if u have Bennet and a cryo/dendro. Also the snake sucks but as long as you practice a few times you get the timing down, and ppl have access to high dps low investment teams now like hyperbloom etc that weren’t available before. But I would probably agree that it’s the hardest abyss I’ve played since launch of the game, maybe it’s bias bc I have 2 years of grinding artifacts (even tho I’m f2p) I can def see new players having a very hard time

There's no way abyss is hard if you're playing since lauch or 1+ year now. Well that's assuming you know what you're doing. You don't even really need to rely on meta. I'm not even using dendro teams and dendro was released like what 6-7 months now? I'm still using the good old taser, melt and vape team comps.
Also,don't forget the extremely high resistance in the pre-swirl stage.
Also,rip if you use Geo or Dendro main DPS.
(Before the "oh but I did this with non swirl-able element, it's easy if you've invested for a year" comment starts coming in,....yes I know, I'm an old player as well;but I'm talking about a general scenario that is applicable for an average genshin player,not veterans.This abyss was more difficult than quite a few ones before it)
This abyss is hard for new player but for old player? Probably skill issue 🗿

For that specific team, you should consider building xiangling with full em. Nahida's dendro application eats up ayato's hydro application and if you watch the video you notice xiangling almost never vapes. She is basically just dealing her raw unboosted 10k damage and triggering 12k burgeons(which is pretty low). With full em xiangling, you can get 25k burgeons which is a significant damage increase. However, you do need enough er to burst every rotation

Its a damage check but not just a damage check, you rotations need to be correct and you need to right amounts of ER plus other stats to have multiple bursts ready

I need more dendro units to get past floor 10. It was a hellful struggle getting through the 9th floor. I only have 3.
I didn't use any Dendro the entire abyss what do you mean you need more Dendro lol
You just need to play longer. Floors 9-10 are pretty low dps check, most players even casual can clear in about 2-3 months. To clear 11-12 will take maybe 3-5 months, and 36 star floor 12 may take 4-6 months or even a year+ for casuals. If u are new to the game just keep grinding and u will be surprised how fast u clear 9-10. Also those floors are more about grouping so if ur account doesn’t have sucrose/Kazuha/venti then it doesn’t matter ur dps, those floors will just feel bad

Now, put your pitchforks down and let me explain 😆.
It took me 2 years to finally reach floor 9. When dendro came out, it helped me beat floor 8. This is mainly because I wasn't really focused on leveling characters (except Aether cause i main him), talents, and weapons, and I only pushed my artifacts up to 5-8 during the first year onward with only one artifact being level 20. I didn't use the time gap between Liyue and Inazume as I should have with the number of characters I had back then.
It wasn't until the end of 21 into 22 that I started working on getting my characters together. I have all the characters except for the 5 stars I didn't wish for. Which are about 16. I also have 15 crowns saved up.
I'll probably release a video tomorrow showing better than telling if yall wish to see my 2-year worth account, which meta players would crucify me for.
Also, artifact farming is hell itself.
i cleared the wenut with tighnari spread with yae, just right here, right now, emerge and spam tighnari shots everytime it goes up the ground

The second side was made for the Ayaka/Shenhe team. I pulled it off with my Ayaka/Ganyu freeze team. Dropped an Ayaka and Ganyu burst the two times I knocked it to the ground to do about 40% of it's HP each time and chip away the other 20%.
Best part of vid is at 9:56 when the lector jumps to avoid ultimate. Mtashed thought.....

I recommend playing Overburn full EM Raiden, it's so much fun. Funnily enough it's especially good with Deyha. As the Team ist really lacking a Support Unit for Burning. (So a Pyro one) That's the only unfortunate part. Baizhu could be actually good though maybe.

seeing this makes me realize how far i still have to go with building my characters for abyss. AR55 and still haven't beat floor 11
that's pretty good for AR55 if you are at Floor 10 already, don't be hard on yourself for not clearing the top two, you are just getting there

Yeah Nahida really changed my account, I think that's a big reason why I've been able to 36 star abyss lately. Before I just could only get 33 stars, 35 at most.
But I also started grinding artifacts a TON more since I've been getting Sumeru characters(Alhaitham, Nahida, and Faruzan). I also got Alhaitham's weapon, so it motivated me to grind his artifacts a lot which worked out for Nahida on the side.
My first half had Zhongli, Kazuha, Xiao, and Bennett. I don't remember that side being difficult though.
I finished the Wenut fight with 4 seconds to spare with Kuki, Yae, Alhaitham, and Nahida on 2nd half. Took a couple tries and learning, but I got there.

I didnt need nahida (nahida skipper here) to 36 star but it sure would be good to have her heres my 36 star team
First half: Tartaglia,Bennet,Kazuha,Xiangling(goodol oppa)
Second half:Xingqiu , Yelan , Kuki on full em deepwood, Alhaitham
Kudos to this man who gets tired and almost hated the entire game yet still have the dedication to make content for it. 👌😎

Like always the abyss was designed around the current banner characters
This time being Ayaka and shenhe
So on the second half Ayaka and shenhe absolutely destroy everything in their optimal teams, being either freeze or mono cryo
They probably then made it so that you need pyro for the first half because they knew most people's cryo characters would be occupied in the second half
@@acct3 From my experience the short time windows during which the wenut pops up are perfect to use a shenhe skill press along with any anemo character skill to shred resistance through 4pc VV and then hit the 5 hits for the quills with Ayaka skill and normal/charged attacks
By the time the wenut pops up at the next spot the cooldowns are gone and you can repeat the process
Then ofc when you can knock it out you just go all out with your bursts, should be more than enough dmg that that way
I think a boss that forces you to learn it's mechanics is a step in the right direction for abyss.

For me, Tighnari, Yae Miko, Nahida, Kuki is the easiest because all their elemental skills are low cd so you can constantly do damage. Kuki can also hit all the bubbles with her burst. 😁
Probably best to run it more than 2 times and swap teams for each floor

Hyperbloom works well against Wenut, seeds fly right to that boss no need to aim and run around for him at least not as much
Hyperbloom works on any boss not extremely resistant to Electro. It's just broken.

Hyperbloom Damage is primarily Dendro, it's just that Electro enables it but the damage from the seeds itself is Dendro.

Did the Wenut with Raiden,Yae, Nahida and Kokomi, all phase 2 with the same team.
1st team is Alhaitham, Kuki, Kazuha and Xingqiu.
I did mine with :
1st half : raiden diona xiangling xingqiu
2nd half : ganyu zhongli bennett kazuha
I dont have dendro characters cuz i took a break from genshin, so i had to switch teams multiple times

My only team that could kill Wenut in 3star timer was nahida/fischl/keqing/yaoyao. Which could also do the rest of the abyss really easily as well, with Kazuha/xiangling/bennett/raiden on floor 1. I just don't like that the abyss heralds combined with needing a super heavy single target team to beat Wenut (or in my case, something that can get a lot of damage off really quickly between phase) stone-walls a lot of potential team building. I love testing wacky teams in the abyss and I can't here, except for ignoring the second/third floor or taking 8 minutes to clear it to get to the other ones.

Nilou Bloom actually seems perfect for second half. Dendro for the Abyss Heralds, Bloom and Nahida for the Black Serpent guys, and enough consistent damage from Bloom to deal with Wenut.
Nilou bloom is actually really bad against Wenut, the single target damage is just not very good. Hyperbloom is much better against Wenut.
Nilou is garbage against Wenut.

tighnari quicken with nahida honestly made second half a joke, just machine gunned the arrows in the wenut's damage windows, and more than enough damage to blast everything before it in a timely fashion

Yae Miko came through for me this Abyss. Mind you I have C4, but I was running her with Yaoyao, Dendro MC, and Xingqiu. Would've been faster if I had Fischl in there for the extra aggravate procs.

Everytime that like this boss is hard, or like golden wolf Lord, basically any hard boss. I have not realised while playing it because of ganyu, first time I fought the wenut was in the abyss, didn’t read the text in time and broke the orbs by accident, complete second try after optimising on the next try
I haven't been playing genshin much and it's nice to see mtash still having fun in the gameee
That Floor 12 boss is not hard per se but they make you waste so much time knocking him down.

I just busted through all of floor 12 with zhongli hutao yelan xingqiu in first half & raiden kazuha bennett sara in second half. I could only 34 star the last cycle but this cycle I got to 36 star it

I feel like so many people are tired of Genshin and find mtashed so relatable.
I quit Genshin after 2 years of playing but your content is too fun to stop watching Mtashed. It was the easiness of the “hardest abyss ever” that made me question why I’m spending so much time on a game where I personally am not feeling the rewards of grinding. I’m totally happy about other aspects of the game and I’m in no way shape or form saying people can’t enjoy it for other reasons, but even for story I prefer other games. But I’ll continue to stay a loyal subscriber since I have been enjoying your content for years and it’s helped me distract myself from so many difficult life moments.

The team that worked for me beating the wenut was Nahida, Raiden, Fischl and Zhongli. On the first half used Wanderer, Xiangling, Yelan and Bennet. Didn't have to change teams on floor 12 using these comps.
I tried so many different teams for the Wenut phase (Raiden Hyperbloom, Ganyu Hypercarry, etc., etc.) but I couldn't clear it fast enough for the life of me. So after reading some comments I decided to try Tighnari who I built a while ago but stopped using, and he CRUSHED that stupid snake with like 10 seconds to spare. Made the boss seem so easy... I wish I had picked him in the first place especially because his charged shot, burst, and skill uptime is so much shorter than Ganyu's. (My team was Tighnari, Raiden, Nahida, and Barbara btw). Now excuse me while I crown my Tighnari..

@@wannabe_recluse6028 Yes! He's so good, especially if you have Raiden too. You don't even need to have him on field for too long either. Just do E and then all 3 charged shots, burst, and switch out. I recommend 4pc gilded dreams btw for the EM buff, and then just running 4pc deepwood on another character (Nahida is the best for this if you have her but any Dendro support should work just fine too) on the team.
