not really the speed you need to be worried. It's the hydraulic pressure xD I've died so many times when the plane just become uncontrollable after losing all hydraulic pressure. Now I just put one engine on idle, shut down the other one, and glide with idle power on. Still getting pressure for control surfaces and gives me so much more time to land.
Agreed, that might have been a better option but i was caught off guard after running out, Also i know you can keep the hydraulics alive by keeping wind going through the engine, i think the loss of control authority is around 98 knots, need more practice to nail it down correctly.
@BK45AUS it means emergency power unit, I don't fly the Hornet in dcs often enough to know about its epu or activation, presumably will have one somewhere
I thought he was going to hit the ground too hard and then I realize it’s an F18
Yeah, not like the landing gear will break or fail at all.

@@BK45AUS oh, I did not know that you can keep the pressure up like that! I need to test that out next time I play
No fuel means the plane is lighter and more maneuverable
@@JohnDoe-on6ru lol yeah, and just a little harder to recover from stalls.
The f18 has gauges for this reason lol
@@GameWiz2428 yeah i was watching it but punched burner for a few seconds too long while RTB
Niceeee
normal day landing in the NAVI:
what server is this?
private server of a few aussie mates is all.
epu??
@@t.heiap000 sorry???

Hornet doesn't have an EPU. If both engines are out, you can only eject
@@delayed_control depends on height and speed. if ya keep wind going through engines you can retain control to ditch or land
