7:35 finally someone that talks about this problem!! I'm an old player, probably i played first time 8 years ago and then stopped cause i wasn't getting amywhere into the game. Returned recently and got my first char to lv100. People told me "now you have unlocke the end game!". Great, if i didn't had to be carried for hours by maxed players becouse i couldn't even finish one event by myself. It's impossible to progress alone in this game and reach the real "end game", and for people that play solo like me its a big problem.
so agree about pvp, remember in 40 lvl how stack pvp was? Noobs and good player was in pvp no one could one shoot another even best vs worse now gap is too high. Also what program you use to pickup and sell items?
I get your point and I would like to play old dao too. But if they make nostalgia server so many will stop playing on old server. There is already not enough players and this would only Split the comunity more
I started when 40 level was max(if I am not mistaken). I really loved this game, but as the time was passing, it was getting worse. I have not played for many years. I totally agree with everything in this video.
yeah same as you. only diference ive been there when the game was big to all the way to today. and honestly many people will tell you to not play but its not that bad. once u do some hard grinding the game is enjoyable. its definetly not what it used to be but for me the charm is still there
At this point isn't it kinda pointless to even try? I don't want to be a doomer, but like are we really expecting for them to put the game on right track if they can release a main boss of an expansion and NOT GIVE HIM ATTACK ANIMATION? People that try to talk about some complicated issues in my opinion are completely blind, if they can't do a boss animation they won't fix bugs.. Try making your own game, you'll make an animation in a few hours if you do it for the first time ever.
I wonder about pvp because the ideas thrown around are all weird imo. One of the things I enjoyed the most of lvl 45 was that while I was only doing Q2 and sometimes Q3 (so I wasn't even close to the best of the players), I could duel maxed players because although they would oneshot me, I would 3 shot them back so it took more skill from my part, but I could still win. Now gearless pvp would be heavily affected by wisdom lvl and wisdom is slow to optain, so someone who just reached lvl 100 would have a third of the stats a wisdom 300 player has. And if you have the second charrcter boost, even if you have lvl 300, a farmed lvl 100 being the same as a fresh 100 also doesn't sound good at all. So idk
definetly wisdom would affect the game too much. but something needs to change about the current state of the game. we need pvp that is accesible to all players on lvl 100. right now there is max 10 player playing at the same time. nobody has gear for pvp and geting it is imposible. im max pve for quite a while and im still workjing on pvp set and i still dont have good pvp set
Biggest issue is the fact that it is purely unplayable as a solo player after 100. Like, it's not even the fact that you need a carry, but the fact that you can't even find one anymore. There are like 10 players total left in this game and none of em in his right mind would say "Sure, i'll grind the same map for you, for 5 hours... for absolutely nothing in return". I legit spent 2 weeks out of nostalgia playing on my DK just to get +10% crit and about 25k dmg. Purely by getting carried. Not even worth the time, cuz its just not fun. No map gives anything meaningful other than Blood PWs or bloodchests, which makes 90% of the game meaningless after 100. Not even gonna start about the fact that DKs are pure trash unless overpowered, because every mob slightly stronger than you can practically oneshot you, which is obviously an issue cuz u have no choice but to statcheck them or die. I can't even farm painful sigri with all trap gems and 140 lvl items cuz he oneshots. As a mage i just farm him on fatal by hiding behind a guardian. Pure BS.
yup totally agree. new lvl 100 tanks get vigorchecked by every mob. hopefully they will change the progression for fress 100 players.. i feel like i should have dedicated slightly more time to that part of the video

Producers of the game are a billion dollar company yet they spit in your face with that looks alright at first glance but animations are literaly sh1t and you gotta pay for that also send you bella with promises that if they held on to the out come will be broken as what they have been realesing for around 1 or 2 years. At the same time they spam your mail inviting to join their other games. Old devs would be ashemed to release such abominations even on public test server.

I don't know if you have seen what 30 euro packages are also sold. In practice, they could already sell lvl100 max hoops. Of course, it's good if there is a paid reward, since the game is free and we can support them that way, but they have been overdone for a long time.
In addition, for two years we have been considered clowns. The dc devs are also just apologizing robots. We received such low quality (content) that it is offensive.
Funny I played this game back when there was only 3 classes. Even with all real money bag upgrade, good essence and op equipment I still like it. Played for like an year everyday cause of login crap. A pity see this game on this state. I wish there was some private server core so we could mess around old versions like most ges have. But this game never got it enough atention to get an open source server framework.
Overall the video shows many of the problems which should have been fixed long time ago and is really useful for developers of dso since you know "something" about the game. Ofc there are some things where I dont agree with you which is normal and I would change it differently (for example Inventory system. Cubes stack should be increased for sure to like 1k, same with essence stack, but I dont think that inventory was made to store only items, because if you will remove all gems, essences and other things then it would only store items which is not the purpose of having inventory for many kind of items). I hope that devs like change many things that were considered in this video, because you did really good job :D
very nice video man, Im hoping they make some truly challenging pve content for those with max stats, something that offers new rewards which are worth it.. something what makes us want to actually play the game. Also the payment stuff is so annoying, everything that they bring out always has a money alternative which is really annoying.
even the farmable and hard to obtain stuff like jewel of gemfortune or ingredient hunter jewel were made to be buyable straight up. those were hard to obtain end game stuff that was good content.. now its just a 30€ paywall
@@Maceej yeah its really pathetic although i don't agree with ingred jewel being RNG as it's so detrimental to new players, i seriously think there should be 3 big achievements which give you 1 each , or at least 2 in total. The events that give the best stuff come once a year which i think is silly, why havent Q sets been reworked to be game changing or useful? why aren't there any non event mythics? maybe mortis mythics etc.. the game went downhill
The most imporant thing i wanted to get in sewers event is the torso tmog XD Did the progress bar till dust(not like i needed it) and cant care about the rest. Boring nothing new or worthy to farm the event for.
rewards for event are bad. im really not gonna farm sewers boss for 2 hours just to get nothing. main rewards i already have and things like 10k shiny dust is faster in q5 :D
@@Maceej I mean if you saw what they were doing the last couple of years... They used scrapped content/maps from years before and called it new "expansions" . You cannot compare these new bosses to when they added Mortis, Destructor, Balor. The maps they made back in 2010 have more graphic fidelity than new maps now. Lvl 40 and 45 was the best time for the game. At least for me. I stopped playing when they added lvl 100 that was the last straw for me. Lvl 55 was becoming really good again and they **** it up with lvl 100. I'm surprised that the game is still holding.
Very good video, you touched on some of the most important issues! There are of course many more, some that haven't been fixed in 10+ years. Would also add a better path for new players between lvl55 - 100. The main storyline, although the quests are not always sufficient to level up, gives you a lot of quests and insight on the lore of the game. After finishing Qaizah you move on to the Anderworld. Now you have two options, 1. Play through the Anderworld questline, which isn't that bad but it gives you nowhere near enough XP to even reach lvl80, not to mention that the questline is locked behind sargon event so you have to potentially wait for an entire month to continue or 2. get hard carried in q1. And after finally reaching level 100, the real grind starts :^) Oh well, we are finally seeing some good changes with CM Bella on the team. Hopefully it continues and they actually go back and fix what's already broken instead of adding new shinies. Cheers!
i didnt include the leveling because i asked a few people to get som info and they didnt find it that bad. but yes its true u get to level 75 and quest are gone. but u can get to 100 without geting caried in Qs (which is faster) u can do it slowly on normal maps and cry your way there. its nowhere perfect but its achievable solo. everything after lvl 100 is pure hell..

I highly doubt these chinese devs try to fix anything in dso... They rather focus on taking more money and make a new game instead of doing dso fixes

Most of it wont be fixed anymore. The current dev team is made out of volunteers working on the game in their free time.

@@Maceej well early 100 is also doable solo with the same logic, imo main source of xp should be quests not grinding tedious amounts in normal/painful
@@celszu yea ur right. an honestly its as easy as changing the quest to give 25% more xp each and u will be 95 when you end questline
