Thank you, I actually didn't start feeling the speed of that first arm until arm 4. Jungle Trail gets HOT and my calves started cramping pretty bad, so I at least had a few hours in the morning regret free :)
I'm running the 50 miler in a few weeks. Would you recommend trail shoes for each of the first 4 loops, or change them out with road shoes along the way? Looks like a good mix between the two.
I'm going to make a video and post it this week with some tips, but I'd use road shoes for Arm 1, Trail for Arm 2, maybe trail for Arm 3 (I'm probably using road, it's going to be dry most likely), then road for all the other loops. Good luck out there, and I'll let you know when that "tips" video is posted, I'm aiming for Monday or Tuesday.
This was much, much more difficult than Long Haul both due to the heat and lack of aid stations. For most of the race I carried 2 full soft flasks and a 1.75L bladder so the weight really wore my legs down. I highly encourage you to try next year due to how unique this race is, but make sure you have a crew or planned water stops!
I appreciate the amount of time you took to make this video, gratz on the finish, had to be a long hard grind after that quick first arm :)

Doing the 50miler in July . Great video!
I'll see you there! I'm coming back for the 100 and I'll be taking better care of my feet this time lol
Great stuff brother. love the video
Thank you. You did an excellent job out there too!
That’s crazy. Very cool race and way to finish strong!!
Dude, killer Stash!! Octobase - love it!! Fantastic video brother, and great testimony for the OU. Huge congrats on your finish!
Thank you! I've been doing better in races, and while I want to give credit to my hard work I think I owe it to the stash.
Well done!

@@FeetFirstAthletics Awesome thank you
Super motivating! Thanks for letting me virtually join you on this journey. Very cool!
Love seeing another Florida runner out there!
Another great video. Seems way more challenging than the Long Haul. Maybe I'll find out next year for myself :)
