    I was a trainer about 8 years ago and I was very incompetent. The moment I realized I wanted to get back into coaching, I knew I had a lot to learn. Your channel is singlehandedly making me a competent trainer and I appreciate every bit of info you're dropping man. Thank you.

    You two are a blessing. I still don't have full confidence because my memory is not that great so I can't remember all the things I need to know. So then I don't do them but I want so badly to fix that and be a better trainer! Thank you for the content you are putting out...I can see I'm not alone.

      Thanks for the kind words! There’s a lot to remember as trainer than people realize! I think a lot of this stuff becomes second nature over and it’s gets easier to keep track of though

    One odd thing I noticed though is that the subtitles are in Vietnamese 🤔
    I like to keep the subtitles on when I watch these videos, but I noticed that they weren’t making sense here.

    I really love your content. Do you guys have anything around heart rate? Which tools do you like best fitbit, apple or is there better ones? Thanks!

    • @SortaHealthyTrainerEducation
      @SortaHealthyTrainerEducation  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! We don’t really track clients heart rate too in depth although it’s something that we’re looking into. We’ve had good luck with both apple and Fitbit products but it’s something we’ll have to explore a bit more before covering it in a video.

  • @priyarevisdass

    Thanks so much! I've been looking for this information for a while now. A question I have is for older patients with chronic conditions. It's very important to check their BP, heart rate and oxygen saturation after exercise. Do we ask them to buy all that equipment? Any other recommendations for dealing with such clients online?

    • @SortaHealthyTrainerEducation
      @SortaHealthyTrainerEducation  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If the client has concerns about those things or has an adverse condition that would make them susceptible to blood pressure or oxygen level issues, I would probably suggest that they purchase those things. I will also add that if they have concerns over blood pressure/oxygen, they may want to consider training in a safe, in-person environment.

    This was an awesome video!
    I just have 1 question:
    How would we conduct sub maximal testing to predict a client’s v02 max? Tests such as: YMCA Step test, Rockport walk test, etc. all online? Would we just skip that part and only do physical tests like the OH squat and push up test?

    • @SortaHealthyTrainerEducation
      @SortaHealthyTrainerEducation  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I didn’t include anything like that in this assessment because I figured that it would be too hard to do via webcam. A 3 minute step test may be possible though and could be worthwhile virtually.

    Can you do the plank and wall sit for pre hypertensive clients?

    • @SortaHealthyTrainerEducation
      @SortaHealthyTrainerEducation  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question! I think it depends! If they’re pre-hypertensive and they don’t have anything else going on, they may be totally fine. I don’t think I would do those moves all of the time, but they may have an occasional spot in routines.

    Why women on knees for pushups?

    • @SortaHealthyTrainerEducation

      It tends to work better for most women and shows their progress between 6 week assessments better. I have some women do the full version though if they prefer.
