Thanks again Jamie! I had a blast speaking with you again! and truly I learned a lot from your insights! I hope all is well down under and looking forward to our next conversation!!
I just took a TEFL course. Yes. I read about TEAL (teaching English to adult learners) from World TESOL Academy, and I'm thinking of taking it as I will like a CELTA but its way too expensive for me. I haven't heard of TEAL before, so I will like to hear your thoughts on it.
World TESOL Academy is not accredited for teaching abroad, just FYI. If you already have your TEFL and it's accredited, you are ready to teach abroad or online.
Thanks for the info' Am a native English Speaker with a Bachelor in french plus a TEFL certificate and would love to teach English in any french speaking country to improve my spoken french
Hi Jamie! Is there a particular online English teaching company ( either as an employee or independent contractor) that you recommend for the digital nomad visa for Spain? I have my 120- hour TEFL certificate.
HI! Typically for digital nomad visas you'll need to have an established freelance online teaching business (or other online business). Since you aren't an employee of online ESL companies, they can't help you qualify for the visa.
@@milkoluna9325 Yes, that's possible. However, ESL companies do not hire you as an employee. You are considered an independent contractor. That'w why they don't pay any healthcare or retirement benefits. If you are working remotely for an actual school, that's different, as long as you are a salaried employee.
@@ESLTeacher365 So an example of these free-lance/independent contractor online companies for the digital nomad visa (Spain) could be Itaki or Preply etc? Thanks!
@@milkoluna9325 They could be part of your overall income that you are using to prove your online teaching business, but I would not rely soley on marketplaces since enrollments can be unpredictable.
Hi, I have done TESOL Certification and one year of teaching experience but I am not a native speaker and relentlessly applying for jobs but am unlikely not receive any interview call. How can you help me ?
Which brand TESOL do you have? Did it include a teaching practicum? Do you have a bachelor's degree? Have you taken an official English exam like IELTS to prove your level to employers? Which countries are you interested in?

Thanks for the chat, Fergus! Let’s talk Spain next 💃🏻 I want to hear about your experience teaching in language academies!
I really love this conversation. Very practical and helpful for aspiring teachers and definitely reminds me of my own experiences.
Where have you taught?
@@ESLTeacher365 the United States, South Korea, Turkey, Mexico, mainland China, and Taiwan
@@realworldtefl Wow, lots of different places and cultures.

You 2 should start a website with all the information on how to find jobs after your certification.
I have a membership and online course that cover all this information 🙂
Thank you so much for the tips!! How did you find teaching in France?
I loved teaching there over 4 summers. Which parts of France would you like to teach in?
@ESLTeacher365 oh that's amazing to hear! Paris would be a dream for me 😍

Got my CELTA February 2023. Haven’t had a teaching job yet. I wonder what I’m doing wrong.
Where do you want to teach?
@@ESLTeacher365 right now I’d prefer online, but in the future I would like to teach in person in South America.
@@nopuddingcups4360 Nice! I just did a live video all about teaching online. Hopefully that helps :)
Any luck yet? Did you apply for any jobs?
Thans Jamie, will be also helpful if you can make a video where you show how to track income as online teacher
Thanks for the idea. I just keep an Excel spreadsheet with all the data of what I earn so I can report it on my taxes.
@@ESLTeacher365 thanks a lot
This was interrupted by an ad for a TESL/TEFL course
Ohhhhh which one 😅?
