I’d be crying at this point unable to talk. Sandi, you are truly an inspiration. I’m going to practice your strategy when back to back catastrophes happen. You just keep moving forward attacking one problem at a time. Unbelievable.
Sandi Brock I am an ER doc and get stuff thrown at me a lot, but not what you are going thru. At least I’m not totally alone doing physical work when my back hurts or having an expected income disappear. You are the best. I have no idea why I watch you everyday cause sheep management is not in my wheelhouse, but I really like you as a person, and love animals. Hang in there, luv, and sending prayers your way for sure.
@@SandiBrock luv u sandi. U got this. Its gonna be tough 4 everyone 4 awhile but WE WILL GET THRU THIS 2GETHER!! We r here 4 u 2 vent 2 n e time u need.
I run a rescue in Australia and deal with a lot of preg tox ewes through winter lambing season who have been down for long enough to have pinched nerves and pressure sores before we’re called to pick them up. We have great success treating them despite the condition they’re in when they arrive. Basics are the same as you - oral ketol (glucose) and sub cut 4 in 1 which is the calcium (plus some other stuff). Otherwise our treatment plan is to put them in a ewe sling which is the saving grace, keeping circulation to their legs so they don’t go numb on them and give up. You can leave them in the sling with a bale of hay in front of them to rest their head on and electrolytes until they’re up, usually within a couple of days but max a week. We also do bi carb, probiotics, foliphos, VAM. We give oxytetracycline too because they’re often flat on their side long enough for fluid to pool in the lungs but your girls don’t get to that stage. Best of luck with her, I really think that at least adding a sling to your treatment plan to keep blood in their legs will get them back on their feet in no time
Bless your heart. You always remind me of what Eleanor Roosevelt said, "A woman is like a tea bag - you can't tell how strong she is until you put her in hot water." Hoping everything picks up for you.
Sandi, I am so sorry that it seems like everything is turning to crap, remember it is always darkest before the dawn. Things will turn around, you are growing food and people always have to eat. This will give you an option to look at other options for now or for permanent. Looking out from the middle of the tornado always looks the bleakest. Keep your chin up and just keep doing what needs to be done. God Bless.
I am not a farmer. I know nothing about it. Yet for some reason I am addicted to your videos. I admire your hard work, problem solving, and positive disposition. Oh and the sheep are cool too ;)
I'd be bawling at this point, if I were in your shoes. You are stronger than you know. I really hope your ewe gets better soon, so she can deliver her lambs. Good luck!!
Sandi, you seem to be making great decisions in very stressful situation. Great job, don’t forget to breathe. Love your thought process and resolve to make it work.
I just want to thank you Sandi. I'm a second year vet student from the UK and I found this channel about a year ago after I finished my lambing placement. The combination of the two, as well as other placements over the summer, has helped me decide that I want to go into farm medicine. You're amazing at explaining what you're doing and I've learnt a lot from watching your videos. I had planned on going lambing again this year but I had to cancel because of the virus. You will get through this! Just one day at a time
I have been following along with your story since Christmas. I am so sorry your day went from bad to worse. I don't think it's wrong to have a pitty party for yourself every once in a while. Acknowledge your feelings, cry, shout, get it out! Then take a deep breath, and move on because life doesn't stop. We're all going through this, and everybody has their own trials. This nightmare will eventually be behind us, and slowly we will recover. Much love to you, your family and your sheep!
Your attitude is amazing and your smile unending. Thank you. I have recently lost 2 cows but I move forward because that is what we do. Every day is a new day and the sun will come up again.
Sandi - Your plate is certainly more than full right now. God protect you, Mark, and your family, and bless you with something that is way beyond your expectation. TAke care.
You are such a strong woman. Even in the hard times, you smile!!! How can we not love you and be inspired by you??? My days are complete with Sandi and her Sheep!!
I just looked at the sheep pricing data and both the weekly and year-over-year price drops are enormous. I hope for nothing but the best for you and your farm.
Oh my god, hearing the panic of your voice when you discovered the flood broke my heart ❤️ you could really hear your worry. I really hope things start shaping up for you Sandy; you and your sheep deserve a real break! But you’re handling it like a champ so far
Aww hope everything works out, I know about this stuff already cause insta, but still sucks to see. We are all rooting for you Sandi keep up the good work!
I just like that you are a strong woman. Keep your head up. Things will work out. Always a storm, before things get better. Praying for everyone during these times.
I sure hope the momma sheep will be ok... You are an inspiration Sandi. I love your videos, and look forward to seeing the updates!! Keep ur head up!!! Love from Rankin Texas💜
When this sort of day happened at the horse barn, there were times that I just sat down on a hay bale and laughed at the absurdity of it all. I hope the rest of your week will not be so insanely awful!
Your truly an amazing woman, I pray comfort, strength and Devine intervention as you work around this virus situation & the lambing process, bless you and your family 💞🙏👼💖
Oh my, yes, you aren’t the only one that has these kind of days!! My heart sank when I heard the words pregnancy toximia... I lost my pet dog to that 2 years ago yesterday.
We believe in you. You got this. It may not be fun or easy, but you got this. Trust yourself. Straighten your Crown, and Carry on! We are right behind you!

You are a strong lady! This is affecting everyone in different ways. Great news you are all well and can pretty much do your job without a lot of contact. My husband is still having to go work in the masses. Watching you is a great distraction from anxiety for me. Thank you for doing what you do.❤️
SANDI I JUST WANT TO HUG YOU!! ❤️ I live in a small town in Ontario, and feeling the pressure too! But, you will make it through these hard times. During these times of adversity you continue to show compassion, determination, and courage and continue to be an inspiration. Keep your chin up and keep smiling!
Hello Sandi! I won't belabor my comments w how awesome u are (because I admire u so much!) And I am behind in my videos...however, have u ever looking into a water monitoring device in ur barns? You can only try and do your best.. Think on that try and I hope it will help along with a prayer or two! A big hug

I love watching Kenzie and how excited she is to get in the barn in the morning! All of your sheep are beautiful, but I especially love the black faced ladies and the painted lambs.❤️
Do you have a bathroom in your barn? 😂
Oh Lord Jesus! Bless Sandi and help her get thru all this. The Lord bless you and keep you and make His face to shine upon ya'll.
You are amazing! Bad things come in 3's and you have had more than your share. Lots of GOOD ahead!
Your farm is my personal shelter from the storm. Sometimes I forget. I forget that everyone has their own trials and tribulations and that mine are just as valid. Watching you and your family gives me strength to keep fighting.
We had a ewe act the same way in December, and didn’t know what it was. She had quads, and we lost all the babies, but we were able to save the Ewe. Thank you so much for all the amazing information you put out. You have taught me soooo much!!
HI Sandi! I totally feel for you and your predicaments! You are getting my prayers and please just hang in there it will come back! Thank you and have a relaxing evening. Stefan from Switzerland
And the hits just keep on coming, don’t they. Your plug forward attitude is admirable and I comment your stick to it approach.
Sandy, I am going to tell you what my momma used to tell me. I know things get rough, but as trite as it sounds, which is not how it's ment, momma used to tell me "God's not going to give you more on your plate than you can handle!". You are stronger than you think you are, you can and will get through this "bad" patch and your almost done with quarantine, and your healthy and have lots of love coming your way! Stay strong and keep putting one foot in front of the other, you will be okay! Huggs and much love and support from alot of us in the you tube world! Have A Blessed Day All!
I don't know how you do all this. The hard work is one thing but all the emotional issues is totally another. You're such a strong person.
I am sending prayer out for you and your family Sandy
Sandi I am quite a few years away from running a flock, but one thing I forgot to add is the magic of cow colostrum on a ewe in negative energy. A 60 ml drenching syringe 2 to 4 hourly it keeps them going until parturition. The sheep love it and cooperate in receiving it. It keeps them going until parturition. You can use lamb replacer but it is not quite as effective and not so eagerly received.
my mum told me as a young person "one foot in front of the other dont look back, just one foot in front of the other" cant tell you what a godsend those words have been
Oh my! I was so hoping things would start looking up. And I thing they still will!!! Stay strong the best is yet to come💜🐑
