they still about 10 years behind compared to where I'm from.....and how we play.....both sections went in tho....even though I'm from VA.....I love these two bands as a whole.......#HBCU....WE AIN'T GOIN NO WHERE.......#MEAC......SWAC......CIAA....etc......
Caleb Jackson what up bro. they do have different styles but BCU is on a whole nother level. it's like comparing New England Patriots to the Cleveland Browns lol
shitting me when the 100 step in front of u the ground shake u don't get that effect from cookman, u should know my pops played bass drum for cookman and I still went to famu
Both sections sounded great. I can't really say one is better than the other given the fact that both of their playing styles are completely different. Famu players have very open strokes while BCU players have a very closed way of playing, BCU also has more emphasis on stick tricks. I think the BCU tonals could have been a little cleaner, but that's the only criticism I can give. Great performance from both drumlines. Keep up the good content.
BCU, sticking was all that and a bag of chips. Snares were leading the way out the box! Famu snares have never had that tight snare pop sound. Tuned to more like a drum set snare.
This one wasn’t even close. BCU, SC State, NC A&T, and Norfolk State Drumlines are technically sound PLUS the they get down. This wasn’t a fair match...anyone who thinks so doesn’t play....nice showing by FAMU but simply went against a superior program...no offense. I love all my HBCUs but it’s time to let the 70’s go guys. Let’s play...don’t have to be DCI or WGI exactly but it’s time to play the instruments.
good job both section.....note to BC.......stick to what you know.....the tonar bass drum thing.....not working out....leave that style of playing to those who perfect it.....
that's one of the beat hbcu percussion battle I've seen in a while
This battle wasn't even close BCU all the way. Coming from a die-hard SU fan.
I can close my eyes and listen to FAMUs drum tuning all day
Proud of FAMU for stepping it up and playing something new 🐍✊🏾
Freddy J that cadence ain't really new at the beginning
Jhori Smith how old is it? I've never heard it, been around the hundred a long time and never heard them even practice this
Freddy J i remember hearing in the 90s or something
Let me ask one of my friends in the percussion section to see
Freddy J it was completely new
BCU won but props too FAMU too
BCU is incredible! I love their style and showmanship. Great line to watch.
Its like famu dont care at all that they playin at the same time😭
bcu is a different level
they still about 10 years behind compared to where I'm from.....and how we play.....both sections went in tho....even though I'm from VA.....I love these two bands as a whole.......#HBCU....WE AIN'T GOIN NO WHERE.......#MEAC......SWAC......CIAA....etc......
now hold on god brother we all know that famu and cookman is two different styles of drumming
Caleb Jackson what up bro. they do have different styles but BCU is on a whole nother level. it's like comparing New England Patriots to the Cleveland Browns lol
shitting me when the 100 step in front of u the ground shake u don't get that effect from cookman, u should know my pops played bass drum for cookman and I still went to famu
but I like cookman when u were there lol...

Bethune got the W on this one
BCU, sticking was all that and a bag of chips. Snares were leading the way out the box! Famu snares have never had that tight snare pop sound. Tuned to more like a drum set snare.

Why is the last bass drums rattled turned the opposite direction? All should have orange or green sticks.
Sir Nice cause he's playing on a scotch bass drum usually there logo is facing the opposite direction from the other's
Sir Nice actually his drum is backwards
ohh my bad i thought the drum heads were facing different directions
Frankline Combs his drum isnt backwards... the Scotch heads are different than the tonals
You Know Why Im Here ohh i was right then lol
What drum brand are FAMU using?
Jalen Allen Ming Drums
Freddy J Thank you
I thought they played on pearls last I checked
No they are using Ludwig Drums..
Famu all the way everyday!!!
I'll give BCU the showmanship on this one, but FAMU sounded better.
Raphael Ashanti I knew i couldn’t be the only one that felt that way. BCUs tuning is super weird. The super high pitched tenors kills it for me.
buc won but that wasn't the Z thats was Atlanta a&t they was up against
south Carolina state University all day
jsu has the best drumline 💯
jeremish meeks foh with that swac garbage... Those trash swac lines would get destroyed by the the weakest meac line.... U know this
jeremish meeks let's not get crazy bro.. lol they iight
JSU is not seeing any drumline in the meac.... stop it please.
marc d. Ok prove me wrong..... Who would u match them up with???
muzical35 ik u watched this cookman feature
good job both section.....note to BC.......stick to what you know.....the tonar bass drum thing.....not working out....leave that style of playing to those who perfect it.....
James Widen its called "TONAL"....and get your own section and do what you want to do with them....
Come on dude, the bass line is HOT!!!
SU would washed both of these bands
Bobby Williams you must be high bro
Terrance Parker fuck outta here.. both these drum line sucks.. homie on the 2nd band didn't even know the routine.. southern university would EAT both
Bobby Williams Southern Drumline suck they're not even better than Grambling
Bobby Williams Did you really say southern's drumline is better than cookman you obviously know nothing about a real percussion section bruh
y'all still sleeping on SU drumline huh lol
