thanks i personally havent had a chance yet to go into swtor since the new update but knew of the changes tht were coming now i kno wht ill b gettin into when i do =)
Some classes seem to have been much more affected than others. My Scoundrel is basically the same, even keeping the completely useless lacerating blast.
@@mayumikentei Same with my Guardian. All the crowd control stuff is gone except for the taunt abilities, which are almost impossible to hold for more than a few seconds now.
Thanks for the video 👍! That will sure come in handy for me and my guild buddies. We are all still struggling with what BioWare - presumably under the influence of 'Cloud Mind' (my Sith Sorcerer didn't do it 😇) - deemed useful for us with 7.0... 🤔
Thank you! I needed this lmao. I was very thrown off by what BioWare did with the abilities. Also, what is the outfit your character is wearing? It looks really cool!
As a rather newish player myself it's kinda funny to see them put all this work into improving the new player experience via combat styles and simplified skill tress but going 4-5 levels without any new abilities or talent choices just feels so bad... Combat is fine but the story is what's really keeping me going. To hear that this new expansion offered so little of it hurts and I feel for those at endgame who were looking for more. P.S. Cautiously looking forward to the crafting changes, it's so confusing to figure out as a new player that I just gave up on it for now. :/
morning sam, thx for the videos about 2.combat style and ability tree. i just dont understand the sense of making this 2. class being available. when i wanted play sent before, i switched on my sent and if shadow, i switched on my shadow. i would understand it, if they made the 2.class being aible to switch also for f2p and prefered, cause of the character slot cap they have, but its locked for them. i thought at first place you can mix up abilitys from the 2 classes which would have made more sense to change the system.
I'm going to have to hop back in and check things out Edit: I'm a little.. miffed by limiting the availability of some stuff, but the ability tree is something I'm familiar with
I have been playing this game for a very long time, but i was never able too connect the dots when it comes to the ability tree and figuring out what ability works best with what implant or relic and which ability is better to use in a ops and wich boss all that stuff. same goes for rotations, how do you know when you have a good rotation etc.
Search Vulkk.com and look up his class guides :) You know you have a good rotation, or good “skill” because everything you fight will be easy to kill at max level. You only need a good rotation and good gear for the harder content. If you’ve made it this far, you’re probably doing fine
Was not the premise that they wanted to make it more simple. This is more complicated. Also the lot of the ability trainers in the game are now useless, except for the speeder ability. You can go even to a trainer from another class to get your speeder advance there.
Yo be fair, as a sub since almost the beggining I gotta say I don't dislike the new tree, I find not that hard to understand and move around It. Good video
As much as i hate ui and abilities tree right now eventually i learn to accept it and appreciate it's simplicity for new players that'll join in the future.Just kinda upset that i have to find a new rotation for my commando that is just as effective
@@swcentral It would be nice if there was an option in the settings to go between this new UI/Ability Tree and the original UI and being able to go to the Skill Trainer to get your abilities
You can choose "marauder" or "juggernaut" for your secondary combat style for that! - However, you can't be a sorcerer and use force choke at the same time. The way it works is you swap between 2 classes, which you can only do when outside of combat.
I was confused at first but thanks to your guidance I get it but there is something I still can't rap my head around and that is if we choose to light side or the dark side of the force like I have 2 sith 1 with 2 lightsaber and she is a dark side 1 and I don't want to go higher because she looks like a zombie at dark side 5 and my second a a lightning shooter is he is going for the light side of the force before the updated that just a button click on what you want your character going towards light or dark I wonder where is that thing have they removed it? Or do I have to go to a menu to find it?
@@swcentral I think they're referring to the button we used to have at the bottom right of the screen iirc, the one that determined which kind of alignment points you would get for doing missions etc. EDIT: From what I've just read online, it appears they've removed this button completely.
@@kinnusai4432 Yup! Was about to tell you that until I saw your edit haha! They removed it from the interface for some reason... Could be because the Dark vs Light server war thing has also stopped. So now we no longer need to choose to fight for the light or dark.
Off topic: has it happened to anyone that comps and enemies go under the floor and you can´t target them? It´s been happening to me for some time, before the update. It´s really annoying, specialy with elites
Yup, this happens all the time and has done since the game released over 10 years ago. Welcome to the only MMO that offers bugs as features. Maybe not the only one...
Unpopular opinion but I dont mind these changes. I know many are upset but I personally don't mind having less abilities. I dont like it more or less. I'm just neutral about it.
Making my own review in the next few days, it's been very interesting to sit back and wait while everyone else gives feedback. I know Peter made his review already, i'm holding out for one more day while I finish up more stuff.
Yeah, I hate the ui but don't hate the less skills available. Less bloat is good in my book, and maybe they did it because they have plan to port this game to console.
@@blushingralseiuwu2222 tbh i don't hate the UI i think the inventory boxes are just a bit too bright atm and need to be toned down but the rest is okay in my opinion it's just weird having all of the new UI and there is still old UI right next to it
Oh god I haven't played TOR in a couple of years[never hated it but usually run out of desire to keep playing every month or so], and I find in my absence they've gone the warcraft route of sucking all player agency/choice from levelling. EUGH. I saw some mention of this elsewhere so googled it cos I was like no way have they done that, but I guess swtor is now a game to uninstall and never go on again ;/
It's been a common theme for BW to add a new way to monetize the game with each expansion :) 3.0 was the last paid expac. 4.0 they added a new RNG pack each month and sometimes more filled with reskins. 5.0 they removed ops passes so only *paid* subs can play ops and get gear ect. 6.0 season pass. 7.0 season pass double trouble

The loadouts feature will save the location of your abilities!
Will there be soon videos about the best rotation for each combat style and recommendations for the best ability tree settings?
