The FRG is for noobs. Every time I see someone load up Firefight with one of those, I roll my eyes. I then proceed to out-score them with my sniper rifle as all the FRG users drop like flies from recklessly charging in.
@Alex You'd be surprised. Most people who choose the FRG don't know how to use it effectively. Like I said: they just charge in recklessly and spam it everywhere. Every time I see someone switch from the FRG to something else, their scores tend to skyrocket compared to before.

I only played Halo once. I played it at a sleepover in 6th grade. It was my first FPS experience, and my friends didn’t tell me the controls. I still had the time of my life. All the announcer lines still mass-produce dopamine after all this time. Here’s to you, Halo announcer.
The way Reach showed your current party in a list, with all your friends who was playing the game as a separate list below, each grouped together in whichever party they were in. So if you saw two or more of your friends grouped together, you knew they had a game going, so you could join. If you saw single friends, playing campaign, custom game, forge or the like, you knew they are likely up to join you. This was all an extension of Halo 3, which was great. But Halo Reach had two drawbacks: Halo 3 had the option to quickly switch gamemode between campaign, custom game, matchmaking, forge, and bringing your whole party with you. In Halo Reach, you had to leave the party, go to the other mode, and re-create the party. Halo 3 custom games allowed you to set points in whole integers from -10 to 10, freely. Halo Reach changed this so you could only do 1, 2, 3, 5, 10 I think it was, which was a huge drawback, because sometimes having 4 or 6 points was needed for certain game modes to be balanced. Overall, Reach was better though. Halo 4 ruined it all. The Halo 3 and Reach menus were so good that Forza Motorsport 3 and 4 also used it as the core design (beyond the main menu). But just like how Halo 4 ruined the great UI, so did Forza Motorsport 5.

Never heard “ Thriller “ before. I played halo reach non stop when it was released until late 2016 from 12am to 12pm ( I was young at the time and had a lot of free time + I was really good at the game tbh ) and mostly playing infection… Only have heard “ Hmmm, brainsss “ once and I remember getting chills lol.
You couldn't get it in matchmade game as there just aren't enough players to kill in order to get the medal, iirc you only had 12 players in infection through matchmaking. in order to get it you had to do a custom game of infection with a full 16 players, then you have to kill *every* non infected in one life. So perhaps one of the rarest medals in the game to actually get, like its so hard to get that actually getting it gives you the Perfection medal too, which is win the game having killed at least 15 players and not died.
In 4 and 5 it's like they put the announcer behind a bubble, everything sounds so dull and toned out. Then in the new halo they overcompensated where he's so expressive it sounds goofy. Reach was easily the best

Halo voice announcer peaked in Reach. In 4 and 5 they made his voice sound slightly clouded and dulled down. Then in Recent Halo there's so much emotion in each announcement that it's comical and somewhat distracting. It's like they tried to go for funny instead of intense.
