Great Interview. John is so laid back and I’d all about the music. No ifs and or buts…Period. I love the way he pays respect to Mick by playing the songs as Mick did! I love his Tele’s they are all so great looking and his sound is what I love. I’ve been playing since I was for 50 yrs back in the day we plugged out Strat or Whichever guitar we played into one or two pedals and a Marshall, turned them up and played, we felt the music. He’s right to all the great. Bands of those days gone by are almost all gone and we need to somehow keep Rock-n-Roll alive..! I would love to win one of his Fender White and Red guitars however since I’m on Social Security unless someone loans me the money or gives me one, I’ll keep wishing. Can’t wait to see the new one Fender is coming out for him…! John 5 is absolutely outstanding..!
Hey thanks to both of you for giving and doing honest interviews. Since you all bring up motley and van halen I love both bands and I'm very glad there is talented people john 5 and Joe. So we still get to see those bands also as a fan of both players I don't care if they made the songs there own after all Alex and Eddie is a tall order to fill. That doesn't mean we still can't love the players and the music.
The difference between backing tracks today and then, back then they weren't trying to make believe they had a full orchestra playing with them or choir just like when Queen played Bohemian Rhapsody live you knew it was tracked. Today bands are trying to make believe that they're singing and they're trying to fool everybody that's the difference
Well said! John 5 is a cool guitarist, he was the only one I looked at when he played with Merlin Manson and Rob Zombie🧟♂️!!! He showed him self very vividly and I remember him very much!!! 🤘🤘🤘
Glad I got to see Motley a few years ago with Mick and original Poison. U2 didn’t have the original drummer during their Sphere residency. But, Bram was great. I went to their opening night at the Sphere. I’m going out to Vegas in a few weeks to see the Sammy Hagar show at the MGM & Dead & Co at the Sphere. Gotta see them while you can. That’s what I’m doing. 😊
Great interview! I saw J5’s final show in Portland last night. Can someone please tell me where the bass and rhythm parts are coming from? He and the drummer are the only two people on stage..so where’s the rest of the music coming from?
@@ivan40229He’s actually not wrong, there’s just more members than that gone. They mean original members of the band. “Original members since the 80’s” doesn’t make sense cause They wouldn’t be original members than. Literally NOBODY in Maiden now was original other than Steve Harris. The original lineup was Paul Day on Vocals, Terry Rance and Dave Sullivan on Guitar, Steve on Bass as has always been the case, and Ron Matthews on Drums. That’s Iron Maiden’s original lineup. Dave Murray didn’t join for like another year/year and a half, had a couple guitarists before Dennis Stratton who played on the first album before Adrian Smith replaced him, Had a couple drummers before Clive Burr, who I’m sure You already know played on the first 3 albums before Nicko joined, After Paul Day They had a strange guy named Dennis Wilcock singing before Paul Di’anno, then obviously Bruce. Even had a keyboard player named Tony Moore for a minute. If you know the whole Maiden history and this was useless to you, Ok cool. But in case anyone else scouring through these comments was curious about Early Maiden.
@@isaacslingerland451 that is correct in case you are mirroring original line up or founding members. However 2020s lineup of Iron Maiden is identical to the one from a specific period (80's) + additional guitarist.
Joe doesn’t sound like EVH at all.. He does his own thing which is a good thing.. But the only other musician who rocks EVH is his Son and he is spot on….
They still did shows as Led Zeppelin after John passed. But, they never put out an album and never did a tour, but they did shows as Led Zeppelin without Bonham.
It’s as close as it will get right now. I saw them in the early 90’s with Erik Marshall. Could have seen them live tonight. They are playing in St Paul, MN at a music fest right now………. 😮
Such a class act musician who knows what it means to show respect to his peers. Hats off to you sir!

Exactly.
Meanwhile VH1 was basically recorded live with all the members together.

John looks like Prince in that Strung Out tour flyer 😂
John 5 should have been the man for the Led Hagar shed tour.

That’s not a real band.

Nope! Paul Taylor isn’t in the band anymore! Oh shit he came back! Learn something new every day! But they have Uli… he wasn’t an original guy…
U2, Creed, Poison, Green Day, jane's Addiction, King's X, Muse, Primus, Radiohead

Wow! John actually plays his instrument...unlike his bandmates 😮

Limp Bizkit, blink 182, Green Day from the 90s have the original line up
U2 is completely original line-up so far, can they be attributed to rock and roll?
NOT true
I must have missed something?
John 5 and Lippi Synxx
Muse, Biffy Clyro, Garbage, Rage Against the Machine, Rammstein, System of a Down, 311
Bon Jovi? 😊
Isn't Iron Maiden sort of 80's original lineup +1?
Not really
Original singer and drummer gone
@@JayDrums_Musicwrong. Nico joined in 1982 and Bruce in 1981 so they have been part of the line up for most of the 80s.
