    Thank you for doing this. Nobody ever includes cort. I have a Gold A6. Never been more satisfied. For the price it's the best deal imo. Of course I'd accept a Taylor, Furch or Martin any day, no questions asked.

      Glad someone appreciates it! Cort Gold series are just phenomenal for the price! I have two now Gold O6 and OC8, both with slightly different flavours but they just ring and are wonderful to play on. I've had many Taylors more expensive then both my Corts but still prefer the Cort in many situations. The Taylor AD17 is also great for the price I paid but it's kind of stripped of many appointments of the Cort. Many never tried a Cort Gold so they might be thinking of them as entry level guitars but they're more than that.

    I wouldn't say no to any of these, but the Cort is the one I actually purchased, from Richard's Guitar Shop as it happens. It represented better value for me than the Furch and it had the kind of tonal balance I was looking for.

      Thank you for sharing! Yes, the Cort is an awesome value for the cost, especially with the great appointments it has and with the great neck shape easy to play. Hope you enjoy it!

    Much appreciated comparison - thanks!
    Hovering between Cort Gold, Faith Venus High Gloss and Furch - not sure what model yet. This is a great help, thanks again.
    BTW, tried some 'cheap' Taylors and Martins today - dull and quiet. Not going there - and can't afford their decent ones!

    I think all of these are useable sounds, but in different circumstances.
    The Taylor is bright and jangly, so would do well front of a band mix where you want the rhythmic strum to be heard.
    The Furch is nicely rounded, still bright but not quite as much as the Taylor, but does have a little more "shimmer"; would be good in a solo situation. Probably my favourite of the mix.
    The Cort is similar to the Furch, but seems to have very slightly less of everything. Between this and the Furch I think I would go for the prettiest or most comfortable!
    The Faith is my least favourite of the bunch, but would do really well in a mix where you just want the overall soundscape filling out with acousticy vibes, but without being in your face.

    While I didn't think the Faith was as weak as others say it is, man, it's crazy how much better the Furch sounds over all the others. I wish you would have included the models, specs and relative price points of each, though, for the comparison to be somewhat fair. Is the furch more expensive ? I feel like Taylor is loosing ground in the market of "modern" sounding guitars anyway.

    • @77guitarts22
      @77guitarts22  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the comment, indeed I will give those details if anyone needs them, that's why the comments section exists ... The Furch is about the same price as the Taylor ( around 1500 $ ). The Cort around 1200 $, and the Faith around 1300 $, so they are similar in price but discounted might be cheaper...

      The only reason Taylor are as big as they are is they pay for reviews they are massively MASSIVELY over priced. For the price you pay for a Taylor with laminated sides a 214, you can get a all solid hand built Furch Blue series even that smashes ANY Taylor in the price bracket.

    • @77guitarts22

    I got here looking for info on the Cort and hoped for great things from it. Personally i thought it sounded muddier than the others in the first clip but less noticeable in the second. Of the four personally i liked the Faith the best but Furch and Taylor were pretty close. Nice quick comparison, thanks.

  • @nicholascowie5944

    The Cort and the Furch are easily the best, the Faith is average, but that Bloodmoon isn't their best offering. Richard Guitars of Stratford stopped selling Faiths because he could not recommend them over Cort and Furch.

    • @77guitarts22
      @77guitarts22  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your input! They do sound great as you say ( Cort & Furch ), and indeed the Faith's wood is more similar to the Mahogany so it has a lot of natural compression. But it still sounds pretty good to me after I've added a Soundport to the side. It's just not the loudest guitar but it feels pretty easy to play after my setup. Haven't tried other models from Faith but hope I will one day.

      Thank you for your comment and request. I can say all of them feel great to play as I've set them up on my preference ( lower action - Fingerstyle friendly ) . But for me the Cort and the Faith feel the easiest of these 4.

      I bought a Furch 6 months ago. I'd spent a bit of time in hospital and wasn't up to playing for a while. I pulled it out of the case 2 days ago. She had been freshly set up with light guage thomastics , for fingerstyle. Honestly, i was blown away. I rang the guy who did the set up, babbling like a lunatic. In 55 years of gigging, i now had an acoustic that felt right. Honestly the best feeling acoustic i'd ever played. Even better than my 70's Hummingbird. But....then, i picked up ny Taylor mini and nearly spewed.

    • @bloodynin9757
      @bloodynin9757 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@mvp019 now you’re getting somewhere, I didn’t say they weren’t good guitars. I said they were vastly over priced. You are paying at least a 3rd of their price just for the name. Put it this way a 1000 for a Taylor with laminated sides and back or a 1000 for a furch all solid wood that smashes the Taylor 6 ways from Sunday. And the further up the price brackets you go it’s the same deal but really if you have the cash and like Taylor’s so much then knock yourself out. Personally I’d rather get something a little more interesting than a Taylor.

    The Cort..most balanced string voicing ..rich and even and looks like an ebony fret board. The others rang too bright and lacked presence in the mid tones. If you mix /record guitar tracks you want that Cort.

    Deffo picked the wrong Faith model for comparison, the Blood moon is for show, an original FNHG or Naked Neptune would blow these away.

  • @michaelroberts8773
    @michaelroberts8773 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    IMO the Faith is the worst of the bunch. I own two Faiths, a Naked Neptune and a Legacy Rosewood. They both knock spots off that Bloodmoon which seems "style over substance" and not my cup of tea at all. Others swear by the Bloodmoon so each to their own I suppose.

      Thanks for your comment! Indeed it's quieter and the laquer is pretty thick but it looks amazing... I've improved my sound with adding a Soundport on the side to hear it better. But I'll give my Venus Blodomoon a very good rating for the overtones.

      Totally agree, I went in a PMT the other day spent 10 minutes perusing the walls of acoustics only to be completely ignored by the staff so I picked up and played a couple of cheaper Martins and Taylors that were on stands and not locked in place on the wall - utter rubbish! Quiet and dull was my overall impression. I'll be buying from Richards Guitars, still detabing with myself whether it,ll be a Furch, Cort or Dowina...

    • @77guitarts22
      @77guitarts22  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for the comment, definitely Richards guitars are way better place to get a great one. I'd say the easiest to play for me it's a Dowina ( plus it's the greatest feeling of a hand made guitar), then Furch has that reinforced neck that is granting a long time use with no bends on the neck and a better resale value because of the name, and then Cort that has just amazing appointments for their price and a great feel and sound, you just have to make sure you don't get one with a problem because they have some duds too...

      @@77guitarts22 Thanks fpr the reply. Good advice. I think the best thing for me to do is make an appointment at Richard's and drive the 2 hours down to his place - of all the guitars I've ever bought I have only once tried it before buying - even though I KNOW the rule is to try as many as possible before buying! I won't make that mistake again! Just wish there was a Richards Guitars nearer where I live!

      @@FlowerdyPilllow Glad to help, enjoy your trip there and indeed that's the best you can do when choosing, feel them and hear each of them by yourself. Of course, the comparison will also be depending on whether or not the strings are the same age, new or old but that's hard to keep track of... I've heard that the reason why Taylor sold so many more guitars then the competition was that they were coming with Elixirs and would sound better in a guitar store when people were trying them and comparing them.
