Wow what an impressive Corvette Mike!!! Love that it is Yellow and all that power is what I need. I flew Fighter jets for 34 years and the only thing close to that is my Yamaha YZR-1000 that weighs 400 pounds and has 250 wheel horsepower. My Porsche 911 Turbo S has 800 wheel horsepower and I go through tires often. I would enjoy your ZR 1!!!! It is a beast!!! Get those 15” tires & bead-locks you will definitely feel more comfortable with that Super Man power!!! Looks like tons of fun!!! Watch out for the PoPos in PA. Thanks for sharing this video!!! Mike, some of the best content you have put out! 👏 Its a handful, i drove a 850 hp C6 with cam, forged pistons etc. 3rd gear is the lesser of the evils in that C6

Just got my car on the track still have a lot to learn as far as launch the right way to hit 9s but he hit 10s by “F**king up” in the TT C8 … definitely needs the TCM for street tires

You could try keeping the same size tire and maybe look into suspension maybe that'll help you hook up a second gear without having to change the tire
After little to no rain in our area of Texas and months of 100 plus I’m welcoming the rain and cold weather with open arms and it can stay for a good while.
The C6 is looking good and the last of the true drivers car! Keep the 18’s for normal use and grab some 15’s for races.

You should kool it with the new ZR1 until you know what it will do, You don't want to wrap it around a pole or kill yourself and others. I think by the looks of the yellow zr1 is faster then the 2019 ZR1

You might get a 17 with more tire to hook, but as much as I hate the idea of putting a 15 on a ZR1 since they handle so well, that's probably what it's going to take, especially in cooler PA.

I drove my brother in laws 1043hp at the wheels Z06... and it was not fun at all.... I would compare it to sitting on the back of a fkn crocodile that hasn't eaten in a month..... that's how scary that shyt was. I didn't enjoy it. Fkn terrifying to drive. The thing has Galactic levels of Turbo lag but then when it hits it is the most violent s*** I have ever felt in my life. He's got a massive single turbo setup and it is just rowdy beyond being able to use on the road. I wouldn't drive that thing ever again unless it was going in a straight line on a track. 1200 hp is sooo much more than people understand. The internet has made us jaded to big numbers but I really don't think most people understand how much power 1,000 whp actually is. It's absolutely insane if you only have regular cars as a reference of levels of power. And then to think that there's actually cars out there that are street legal pushing numbers like 1500 to 2500 horsepower... I really can not even wrap my head around how that's possible.
I'm not so sure I've seen a Bigger Happier "oh crap" smile like that from driving in a long time! Be safe and thanks for the laugh!

This is the most interestingly build IMO. Lightweight, raw, stick shift requiring driving skills. No discussion about big wings or carbon fiber, just raw hp in a lightweight car.
The exotics and modern C8 don't pack the excitement per run as this car. As Mike said, it's a little terrifyingly ❤.
