I wish every kirtan had small talk like this beginning, it is so beautiful. Iam in my first year of krishna conciousness and have recently added celibacy as i dont have a girldfriend. Chanting is difficult with depression, but now iam on 10 minutes everyother day or so. Its not a routine yet, but iam striving for it to become a sure routine. I live in western scandinavia and in our standards poverty. I dont really have the means to visit to temples. But i have found this newfound passion. Reading krishna conciouss litterature. It brings me wealth that the material world cannot. I only miss the sadhu sangha, alot. I miss my god brothers and god sisters. But there are always bhakti marga in germany they send live each morning, but i am not a morning person yet, but with krishnas help i hope to become a person that wakes up early and isnt a slave to the energy of sleep like iam now. I hope i will meet a guru one day and i want to do what is karmic rigth according to my dharma by studying to dentist nurse and later in my life becoming a librarian. This way i could work off my debts to the state and go on pilgrimage to vrindavan someday in my life. An ordinary person would say that they have bad karma when they are not wealthy and havent got a girldfriend or a family of your own. And the karma that made me schizofrenic with hallucinogenic drugs. But it all served me like the sweetest nectar, sure it hurt, but it made me realise so much about life, about what is important and i have the realisation what is the ultimate teaching in the universe. So iam extremely lucky to have found a temple in my country that regard me as one of their own. to have met a guru and blessed by him. Iam extremely lucky to be able to learn more about krishna. Material wealth wont make you realised but oppertunitys for sadhu sangha migth. I dont use drugs anymore, no beer or illicit sex. Its just me on my journey towards krishna.
