This is the best video I have come across in a while. I was a little scattered and confused after reading the book. But you have so beautifully articulated every single point. I now feel at peace. Thank you ❤

Lovely and so calming hearing your thoughts on this book. It settles with the same vibe of the author’s.

I’m curious, do you have any thoughts on the “table” metaphor which is prominent towards the end of the book? That was something I had a hard time making sense of

I can give my ideas! The table seems to be associated with his father and the trauma there. Also, I think it has something to do with memory. Little Dog tells us about the fire and the table itself and all of that as if he were there, but then we find out that he was only told about these things by his grandmother, that he hadn't actually seen them. A lot of the book seems to be about how we imagine and construct memory, so I attributed the table to that theme.
