I am a fan of this particular hole. Everywhere else, golf fans and rightfully so are prim n proper. Respectful. This hole has a certain lore to it that players either love or hate (even the haters love it, they just won't admit it). Let the crowd be a little rambunctious. Good for the game IMO.

The 16th hole at the Phx open is a big party! Most everyone is drunk at this point in the day! It’s the reason Tiger stopped playing it, because he got heckled with racial slurs.
Played it when the workers were taking down the steel after the event. All the workers paused to watch as they do because they’re bored. I took a 9 iron and aced the hole. Heard all the hard hats being banged on the beams. Better yet I birdied the 17th and 18th.

Pretty smart of Rickie Fowler. He wants the crowd to up the volume so it just turns into white noise.
Omg why does the noise have to be white. So racist!!!
Their/them noise.
152 yards and these guys are using a wedge.
