Thanks Bucurilie. I’m 75 and you’re right. Our generation had the best music. Most of my videos are songs from the 60s and 70s. Great songs, great memories.
Thanks Randy. The backing track listed in the description also has the sheet music included. I believe this version is in a higher key than the original which makes it easier to play. This is a great song for the tenor.

It was raining a cold steady rain that last Saturday of 2023 in the big Apple I was reveling in the fact I was able to spend a few hours with a couple of old Army buddies I had served with what now seemed like a lifetime ago. My wife and daughters spending time with the in laws out on long island happy in the fact they weren't subjected to the endless war stories my friends and I would share endlessly whenever we got together boring our families to tears. All of us wondering the same thing ..........what wild adventures would 2024 bring Well played Mr. Cooper Both Mickey Spillane and Mike Hammer would be proud!!!!! Happy New year from the Winthrop family !
Thanks for listening and commenting. Coming from someone with the number of subscribers that you have it means a lot. I listened to several of your videos. What make of saxophone are you playing?
I list the backing tracks with most of my videos so you can learn the song yourself, assuming you’re a sax player. Just click the more button under the song name. Thanks for listening.
Да, отличное исполнение,. Есть та самая томность таинственность, которая есть не во всех даже классических версиях. И темп тот самый, не ускоренный и не замедленный. Браво.
Thanks. Always wanted to do this song 50 years ago but the original key was lower and I just couldn’t handle it. This backing track is perfect and includes the score.
Hi Greg, thanks for listening and commenting. Practicing an hour a day is good but to improve you need to also put the basics in your tool box. Learn the 12 scales to start with. I try to play daily and I always warm up by playing the scales starting with A, Bb, B, C ….. When you know the scales your finger memory kicks in when you’re playing in that key. If you don’t know the scales start with A then Bb. When those are familiar add B, then C. A good cheat sheet for the scales is the circle of 5ths. Don’t try to learn this all at once. Each day warm up with the scales you know before jumping into your normal practice. Here’s a video I made about the circle of 5ths. th-cam.com/video/1ID0SukHkGU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=6-993H-L4DcbajAi

Yeah, I love my 6. Bought it new in the early 70’s. Traded in my King Super 20 tenor. I wish I had that horn too. They would have been a nice pair. I do have a King Super 20, full pearl, silver neck alto. Played that one in high school.
Thanks for listening and commenting. I’m 75 and didn’t have the chops to play this song when it resurfaced in the 60s. Since I retired I got my horn back out and started playing for myself. I found a backing track for this song in a good key for me and this is the result. I play what I feel, and this is how I interpreted this song.
Feel old, (I am 77) in a good way. I realize that our generation's music was much better. Excellent work on your breathing. You got it.

Thanks Randy. The backing track listed in the description also has the sheet music included. I believe this version is in a higher key than the original which makes it easier to play. This is a great song for the tenor.
