Most versatile musician Eva to me. No song sounds that similar and had so few below avg tracks his whole career. GOAT

Billy Joel is a showman. His videos and performances are very theatrical. His songwriting is diverse, unique and impeccable. His piano playing is insane. For a good variety/selection, I recommend, for a start: Scenes From An Italian Restaurant (Live From Long Island is a fun performance of this, and amazing piano work with an injured hand. A great watch), Goodnight Saigon, Tell Her About It (really fun video), Matter of Trust (even funner video, filmed impromptu and featuring a NYC block, caught by very pleasant surprise, mid-80s) Innocent Man (the vocals and lyrics - - wow); and, of course, the song that was his break-through hit, along with his nickname: Piano Man. Billy was born on the planet Bronx and grew up on Long Island. His songs aren't tied to any style or genre, he writes and performs what inspires him. That's Mark Rivera on sax; incredibly talented on multiple instruments, working with Billy since the 1980s. Really enjoyed your reaction. Billy wasn't imagining the future, though; looks and money have always been something humans idolize. Great job. Always get a kick out of young people discovering the old greats. All the best!!

Billy Joel’s band at that time was Richie Cannata on saxophone, Liberty Devitto on drums, David Brown on lead guitar and Russell Javors on accoustic guitar. There was no keyboards on this song so Billy was doing lead vocals and giving his frontman impersonation. He has a wicked sense of humor. Most songs will have him playing some form of keyboard since he is the “Piano Man”. His music is very eclectic. He loves all types of music and wrote and performed every style imaginable. He was not liked by a lot of the critics at the time because he didn’t have his own sound. I think Billy got the last laugh. At 74 he can still fill a 60,000 seat stadium and has had a monthly residency at Madison Square Garden since 2014. Billy was born in the Bronx and raised on Long Island. He is NYC pride and joy. Thanks for reacting to my favorite.

Among Billy’s best songs are: “The Entertainer”, “Captain Jack”, “Piano Man”; “Say Goodbye to Hollywood”; “Movin’ Out”; My Life”; “You May Be Right”; “Allentown”; “Goodnight Saigon”; “An Innocent Man”; “A Matter of Trust”; “I Go To Extremes”; “We Didn’t Start the Fire”; “Leningrad”; “The Downeaster Alexa”; “And So It Goes”; and “The River of Dreams”. Many different types of songs here, but they are all great. 😊😊💕💜💕💜💕💜

@@therealjetty4889 You should START with the VIDEO for "PIANO MAN" because that was his first big hit and it is his 'signature song" and usually does "Piano Man" at his encore, with the entire stadium singing a long. He does all different styles of music, is a classically trained pianist. He has beautiful ballads, fun songs, rockers, all sorts His catalogue is DEEP. He also has a LOT Of VIDEOS that go with many of his songs: "UPTOWN GIRL," "THE LONGEST TIME," "A MATTER OF TRUST," "ALLENTOWN," "TELL HER ABOUT IT," "WE DIDN"T START THE FIRE," "PRESSURE" "GOODNIGHT SAIGON," etc You can't go wrong with Billy Joel. I saw him in concert 2 times in the past and he puts on an amazing show. He wrote all his songs too. They are all different from each other.
