I am using younger brother of this cooler for my Coffee Lake build for almost 5 years now. No issue whatsoever. Amazing product. Recently got the 17XX model for my new build.

The all-black version of this CPU cooler is the Terminator of CPU coolers. It fit in my Iqunix ZX-1 with an ASUS ROG ITX motherboard perfectly. Night and day difference between the stock Intel cooler. I"m running a Intel Core i5-13500 and am very happy with the cooling performance.

How does it do temp-wise with the 13500? I was thinking of doing that exact combo. Does it stay under control in something like Cinebench?

Brother, im running i5-13500 with NH-L9i-17xx, and im getting like 60C 1700rpm wile idling, with 45W limits. Am i doing something wrong? Cant find any info on this cpu/cooler combo

@@achy_tv9182 I'm not sure if you are doing anything wrong. I have since upgraded my CPU to a higher power i7-14700 using the same cooler. Make sure you're using good quality thermal paste and make sure it's touching all parts of the CPU metal surface. What is your ambient temperature? In winter my house is usually no more than 69 degrees F and my idle temps are around 45-50C on the CPU. If I'm running under full load (all cores 100% on some benchmark) I can easily hit 95C or even 100C. The cooler is great but it's not magic. In normal use I never need to max out this CPU since most of my heavy workloads are GPU bound.
Make sure you're venting the heat from the CPU out of your case directly. I would double check the contact between the CPU and the cooler. If anything is wrong, it's likely this.

@@LouisDuran thanks for respond, man. Yeah i got that thermalright contact frame, mx4 thermal goo and that noctua fan duct shroud for fresh air intake. all double, triple checked. i guess my fan curve was a bit off. so now im getting 50C 1400rpm idle and 85C 1650rpm 20min stress test, 65W capped. perfect, near silent operation. beast of a cooler

Running this on a 12600k unraid server in a jonsbo n2 case. cpu runs up to 100degree throttle speed when doing plex sonic analysis and idles at about 38 degrees.

Thanks for the info. Just ordered this fan in black for my 12600k Plex build in a Jonsbo tk1. Assuming it'll be more than enough cooling and very quiet for my Plex usage. Had a brand new Corsair H100 Link AIO on there but just returned it since the noise was over 44db at idle 😆

Hi Jack, what do you think if I pair it with 13th gen i5 13500 with 2 exhaust fan on top of the Lian Li A4 h20? Not a heavy gamer

As a daily gamer, photographer, and maybe future streamer. Would this work on an intel i5 12600k on a MSI Pro Z699 DDR4 motherboard without overheating? I’m legit BRAND NEW to learning about building a pc

i5 14500 -- need to lower boost short power to 100w and long power to 75w to cool it :D but perfect for unraid / matx nas! with a small case

I´m building a LGA1700 with Intel Core i5-13600K, 181 W. Everything should be in a 4U chassis. I haven´t bought a cooler yet but I´m afraid tower coolers will be to high. Can you recommend a great cooler? Thanks

  • @yuriyroman7132

I bought it for my i5-13500 and even the idling temp is too high. This cooler may work in an airflow-optimized ITX build but I guess mine is definitely not (nr200p + i5-13500 + MSI RTX 4070 ventus 2x + WD SN850x 1TB. included SSD spec here since it is a non-negligible source of heat generation in my build) Both the CPU and SSD idle at above 50 degrees celsius. When playing games like Days Gone just about every fan goes crazy loud, and the temps are too high. I ordered NH-U12A to replace it. Total waste of money and not recommended unless you don't run anything CPU or GPU intensive with your PC (but then why not just grab a budget laptop?).

Funny peoples are trying to use it with K cpus, where not all tower coolers are able to keep up with a heat.
This thing is for nonK i5 cpus at best , and below
