I have this helmet. Good points: It's a great, tight fit. The looks. The sound proofing. The visor fits snuggly, so no whistle. The visor latches well, when I have the visor cracked at 60mph it doesn't fly open. Bad points: I wear glasses and below 30mph my glasses steam up so I have to crack the visor. The chin strap is uncomfortable, but aren't they all?! The helmet parachutes at around 75-80 mph. Not too badly, but noticeably. Overall I'm really happy with it. 7/10.
There is no ventilation on the back of the helmet, for air to escape... Seems like on the pre-production versions there were 2 holes on bottom in the back and also a breath deflector in the front, but they are not there in the final version.
I have had my V10 3 weeks. Very comfortable and quite, though there is a strong whistle when the visor is open around 30+, I do ride a z1000 naked so sort of expected. There are no issues with pull even at high speeds😉. Vents do help with cooling face but not head, so they are a bit warm in hot weather. HJC coloured visor looks awesome on plain black lid.
@@ABCDEFUCK17 I sold my Glamster as I cannot take the noise intake on it anymore. On the V10, I don't need to use earplugs. On the Glamster, it is unusable for any bike that has loud exhausts or using it in a highway, say goodbye to your eardrums as all you will hear are wind noises. The Rapide Neo is more in between the two. While the Glamster looks great, I cannot recommend it due to it being unusable at speeds higher than 60kph or with bigger bikes.
I just bought this helmet and as soon i ride over 50km/h with the visor open there is a terribly annoying whistle. What solution you guys have? Because if there is no solution i really don’t recommend this helmet…
I never open helmet visors unless I’m at a traffic light stop. I did try opening it and also heard the whistle. Not an issue as you’re not supposed to open the visor for safety.
Does this helmet have air outlets at the back? Some TH-cam videos show that there are two holes at the bottom, but this video doesn't have them. On the helmet website, the descriptions say that they have two outlets. Here are the links with holes. th-cam.com/users/shortsl0Z2BsMHicY th-cam.com/video/w7cJhYmIGUw/w-d-xo.html What is it about?
That Lady clearly shows that she has NOTHING to do with motorbikes & gearing. HJC: the helmet looks great so do something similar with who shows the videos. You can do much better, can you?

One more bad point for me, ventilation. I just dont feel it. It like a fall/winter helmet.
I can confirm that fogging up is an issue with this helmet and also the chin strap drives me crazy... Are they really all that uncomfortable?
Have you tried fitting goggles instead of visor per chance?
This is not a review, this is a commercial

Awesome helmet. Got mine, in the beautiful deep green 2 weeks ago. Very very happy with mine, even while I also wear a much more expensive Shoei NXR2.
I still havnt been able to find a mirrored or tinted visor for sale anywhere. Please make available 🙏🏼😊

I have an Arai Rapide Neo, Shoei Glamster and this. It’s my favourite so far as it’s more quite than the Rapide Neo.
how noisy this and the Glamster on highway compare to a non-vintage helmet?

Same issue, very annoying and a shame because otherwise it's a good helmet

No rear vents why did they take them off because pre-release pictures showed vents at the back of the shell like the Arai rapide has.
Id jump at buying this if it had an internal flip sun visor too. Still weighing this up against other options.
Why is the same helmet rated for ECE in europe and DOT in the US. Is there any differences in construction between the 2 models?
